Maison Guerlan is introducing their new perfume this month. Guerlain Shalimar Parfum Initial is a flanker to 1925’ legendary perfume Shalimar. Shalimar Parfum Initial will be a joyful, desired and lovely perfume sealed in a modern and awe-inspiring bottle.
Four centuries ago, in India, Emperor Shah Jahan fell hopelessly in love with Princess Mumtaz Mahal and had the enchanting Gardens of Shalimar built for her. Inspired by this passionate love story, Jacques Guerlain created the legendary Shalimar in 1925.
85 years later, Shalimar Parfum Initial reinterprets the legend in a new modern and luminous creation. An initiation into voluptuousness, sensuality, an initiation into Shalimar. It is the moment when it all begins, like the freshness of the first time, like a captivating new emotion.
Shalimar Parfum Initial has been crafted on the basis of four ingredients particularly favoured by Guerlain creators: rose, iris, vanilla and tonka bean. These four ingredients are also inseparable from the legendary Guerlinade, the sensual seal of Guerlain creations, the je ne sais quoi that gives Guerlain fragrances this very identifiable style.
Created by Thierry Wasser, Shalimar Parfum Initial mixes citrusy accords with flowery and woody notes. Perfume opens with bergamot and orange notes and melts on skin with rose flowers, jasmine, vetiver, patchouli, vanilla and musk. Shalimar Parfum Initial is also featuring green notes that add a fresher air to this outstanding perfume.
As you can see, for Shalimar Parfum Initial they’ve modernized the outer trappings as well: the bottle is the one recently designed by Jade Jagger, and the juice is now the requisite pink.
Guerlain Shalimar Parfum Initial takes up the bottle with its sensual curves and the blue sapphire stopper inspired by the basins of the Gardens of Shalimar. Absolutely modern, it dresses up in a delicate tassel in capricious blue tones. Shalimar Parfum Initial is being advertised by Russian model Natalia Vodianova.
