Debuting Ilum Dean Fresco Fragrance for Men

Ilum Dean Fresco Visual

Ilum Dean New York is a new fragrance house based in New York. It was founded in 2012 with the goal to launch new chic fragrances that smell modern, and mostly consist of oceanic notes.

Ilum Dean logoIlum Dean Fresco is described as a crisp, fresh, leather/fruity fragrance with a classic design. That opens with enticing fresh notes of pineapple, black currant and lemon along with rose, jasmine and patchouli. The woody base melts on the skin with amber, oak moss and musk would leave your skin tempting and desired. That it is a fragrance for daily use, simple yet qualitative. Though it is described to be fresh and pure, it is long lasting.

Top notes: Pineapple, Black currant, Lemon
Heart: Rose, Jasmine, Patchouli
Base: Amber, Oak moss, Musk, Woody notes

Seeing the list of ingredients, I thought….mmm, but sadly Fresco smells like thirtheen in a dozon! It is not overpowering, but does smell a bit cheap (there’s a bit of a bubblegum smell to Fresco), wondering if you will get lots of complements whenever put it on.

The longevity and projection lacks in Fresco. For the price of Fresco, there are much better options. It seems silly to buy this ‘junk’ when you could get in on a split of the real thing (Creed Aventus) instead. 20ml of something fantastic is worth more than 100ml of junk. Sorry, its just another victim of the hype train. This is one I personally don’t recommend.
