Following on from her stint backstage at Jason Wu’s SS15 show last month, Deborah Lippmann is back to celebrating her 15th anniversary in business. The brand is releasing a special-edition gift set that features 15 sample size polishes that tell the story of the company from their earliest colors to latest collections. The mini-lacquers are housed in a black music box that plays Until Your Dreams Come True, sang by Lippmann herself. The celebrity manicurist, jazz singer and entrepreneur hopes the box will serve as a reminder to aim high and never give up on your dreams.
True to her singing background, Deborah Lippmann’s 15 year commemoration polish box container is a beautiful music box that plays a song Lippmann and her best friend wrote and performed, called ‘Until Your Dreams Come True’.
Back when she began in 1999 the Deborah Lippmann line of nail polish, she was one of the first to bridge the gap between budget and high-end nail care, and today sits in boutique nail salons and on the shelves of high-end retailers including Barneys New York, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdale’s.
Stars like Sarah Jessica Parker, Cher, Renee Zellweger, Mary J. Blige and Kelly Clarkson have all created colours for this commemorative line, and Lippmann has also worked on some brand collaborations with names such as HBO’s True Blood and the Broadway play Wicked.
The limited-edition collector’s box contains 15 exclusive shades, and its colours are named for song titles. The set includes: Come Fly with Me (cream), The Climb (cream), I Will Survive (shimmer), My Coloring Book (cream), We Are Family (cream), Daydream Believer (glitter), Pure Imagination (glitter), 1999 (glitter), Love Will Leave a Mark (cream), I Dreamed a Dream (shimmer), Hey Jude (glitter), Magic to Do (glitter), Looks Like We Made It (glitter), Land of Make Believe (glitter) and A Hard Day’s Night (glitter).
