From highly-anticipated runway shows to coveted ready-to-wear collections, Gucci’s Alessandro Michele is now entering the olfactory world with Bloom….
When it comes to describe a Gucci perfume no words are needed. They are so luring, tempting, delightful and elegant that always attract and charms. Later this summer 2017, Gucci Bloom shows up as a flowery blooming perfume for women described as quirky and grandiose.
Known for his fantasy-meets-fairytale aesthetic, signature florals and achingly cool accessories, Alessandro Michele has now blossomed his creative vision into a new olfactory must-have. Marking a first for Gucci’s Creative Director, the new scent, aptly titled Bloom, will join the Italian brand’s fragrance portfolio – think Guilty, Absolute. Flora, Bamboo and Gucci by Gucci – later this year.
With Gucci Bloom we can expect an unusual floral scent composed by perfumer Alberto Morillas. Infused with rich ingredients, think of White flowers such as natural sambac jasmine and heady tuberose are mixed with woody accents of orris root and the new accord of Chinese honeysuckle or Rangoon creeper (Combretum indicum), a vine with red flowers native to India and exclusive to this fragrance.
In line with Michele’s ‘grandma chic’ fashion collection inspired by the ’70s, the bottle of lacquered porcelain is square and colored in vintage powdery pink, decorated with a simple black and white label. It gives me an impression of clean, creamy, white florals. The box showcases an herbarium pattern of a red-and-white ‘toile de Jouy’ house print of leaves, a signature Gucci motif reinterpreted by Alessandro Michele.
The new fragrance is set to be fronted by Actress Dakota Johnson who will, together with artist Petra Collins and model Hari Nef, represent ‘modern women’. The campaign is shot by Glen Luchford.
Gucci Bloom would be available as 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.
Gucci’s new fragrance by Alessandro Michele is set to be available at all leading beauty counters in August, 2017. More about this fragrance soon here on Yakymour…
