The Panerai Submersible Bronzo is now available to everyone

It has been a while since Panerai first launched a bronze watch on the market. At the time, the watch was received with great enthusiasm. Logical too, since bronze is in the diving DNA and therefore a fantastic combination. Although the bronze trend has somewhat toned down, that doesn’t make the watches any less beautiful. When the Panerai Submersible Bronzo first hit the market, it was limited and only available to loyal Panerai customers.

When it comes to bronze watches, a distinction is often made between a ‘layer’ of bronze and a real bronze case. In the case of Panerai – how could it be otherwise – we are talking about the latter.

The Panerai Submersible Bronzo is completely made of bronze and this results in a beautiful effect over time. Bronze is known to react relatively strongly to environmental factors such as moisture and sunlight. The result is a beautiful patina that makes many watch enthusiasts wild.

The 47mm bronze case is hefty and very imposing and rightly so, after all this is a professional ‘tool’ watch here with a 300m water resistance. The iconic crown keeper looks stunning and seems ready for action at any moment, honestly think I wish I would play with it all the time. This proprietary technology alone would attract many loyal fans of the brand to get their hands on this amazing timepiece.

In addition, the new version of the iconic watch is distinguished by the micro-sandblasted brown ceramic disc applied to the rotating bezel. This unidirectional rotating bezel is also very important for professional divers as they can accurately read the duration of each dive. And, of course, it has a serrated edge for easier adjustment, even with gloves.

The dial with the second hand at 9 o’clock and the date at 3 o’clock has the same dark brown color as the ceramic inlay of the bezel. Readability is excellent thanks to the illuminated indexes, hands and bezel. Both the indexes and the hands are filled with Lume.

Panerai Submersible Bronzo PAM968 is waterproof to a depth of 300 meters, as it should be. Behind the scenes, the in-house P.9010 automatic movement does its best to accurately display the time at any time.

In addition, the self-winding P.9010 caliber with a speed of 28,800 vph achieves an impressive autonomy of 3 days. We can also see the beautiful bi-directional oscillating weight in action through the caseback.

Finally, the Panerai Submersible Bronzo PAM968 wears a natural brown leather strap or a military green rubber strap.

A Panerai as it should be, but definitely not ‘a walk in the park’. The Panerai Submersible Bronzo PAM968 costs a decent €16,000. For more information, enter the beautiful and timeless world of Panerai.
