John Varvatos Celebrating 20th Anniversary with XX Artisan

After creating collections for Ralph Larren and Calvin Klein (for whom he pioneered a type of men’s undergarment called boxer briefs, a hybrid of boxer shorts and brieft. Made famous by a series of 1992 print ads featuring Mark Wahlberg), John Varvatos started in late 1999 his own company, debuting his first clothing line at the end of 2000 in New York. The brand now includes clothing, belts, handbags, footwear, eyewear, watches and fragrances.

In September 2000, within months of showing his first collection, Varvatos opened a freestanding boutique in SoHo, New York. The collection is currently distributed in John Varvatos boutiques including the 315 Bowery boutique in the space that formerly housed the underground music club CBGB.

In addition to the John Varvatos XX perfume, another edition marks the 20th anniversary of the John Varvatos brand in 2020. XX Artisan is a celebratory flanker of the John Varvatos Artisan fragrance from 2009. John Varvatos XX Artisan celebrates the style and music, expert craftmanship, heart and soul of the John Varvatos fashion house.

Top: bergamot, bitter orange
Heart: geranium, sichuan pepper, absinthe wormwood
Base: vetiver, cedar, musk

The new edition is announced as an aromatic and woody, smooth and inviting scent infused with freshness and a stimulating feeling, as described by the brand. The fresh woody character of the composition is defined by citruses and fueled by aromatic flowers and earthy tones of wood. Fresh. Aromatic. Uplifting. This fresh, inviting fragrance carries you through all four seasons with a laid-back attitude and uplifting spirit.

John Varvatos XX Artisan is available as a 75 and 125 ml Eau de Toilette, at selected stores worldwide. Come into the beautiful of John Varvatos.
