Up for sale James Dean’s former Hollywood Hills House

James Dean has not been with us for over 60 years and has just turned 24, yet he is still an iconic figure. Although he never owned this villa in Hollywood, he did live there. Even before his breakthrough as a film actor, he was already working all-round at this house and also tried to break through in the film industry. During this period he lived in the guesthouse. Now you can buy this house, which is impressive anyway, and live like James Dean. It will cost you $4 million.

Originally owned by Hal B. Wallis, who was the head of Warner Brothers at the time, Wallis had hired Dean to be his personal handyman, and the aspiring actor himself lived downstairs in the guest suite, which has a separate entrance and has its own bedroom and bathroom.

Fixing things around the house and taking care of the home when the Warner family traveled out of town. He served in this house and the family who lived there regularly hosted parties. At one of those parties, where Hollywood’s elite attended, Dean was noticed by a casting director. A month later, he was cast in the iconic film ‘Rebel Without a Cause’. This marked Dean’s breakthrough as an actor.

Since then, of course, this 1927 Spanish-style house on 6225 Quebec Drive Hollywood Hills has been thoroughly renovated and adapted. The original charm has been retained and modern tones have been added, providing a glamorous appearance. The entire property covers 4,000 square feet, and the house has three bedrooms and three bathrooms.
