Restaurant Bridges has undergone a complete redesign. The French interior designer Christophe Daudré transformed the modern seafood restaurant of Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam into an even more cozy, elegant and warmer culinary hotspot.
Where in Paris a visit to the Eiffel Tower should not be missed, tourists come to Amsterdam for the canals. The Michelin-starred Restaurant Bridges is located on Amsterdam’s oldest canal and the movement and reflection of the water was a source of inspiration for the designer involved. The result is an intimate atmosphere in the former canteen of the old town hall.
The interior is specially designed for Bridges. The comfortable seats are Daudré’s own hand. The mirror panels decorated with gold and metal were created by the German mural Haute Couture designer Susanne Köhl. The graceful and elegant lamps are a design by Ombre Portée (designer duo Ēric de Dormael and Agathe Tiret), whose clients include Chanel and Galeries Lafayette in Paris.
The renewed Bridges shows that it can also be very relaxed in a star restaurant. Bridges is the place where every Amsterdammer feels at home, with good service, hospitality and conviviality. Chef Bobby Rust is in charge in the kitchen, while Lotte Wolf is responsible for the other half of the wine-food combinations as wine director. This makes Bridges a culinary experience for all senses.
