American fashion designer Calvin Klein releases a new fragrance for men, Encounter. Calvin Klein Encounter is an oriental/woody fragrance captured in an elegant dark blue glass bottle inspiring a modern and stylish man. Even the most demanding men will find this fragrance charming and seductive. Calvin Klein Encounter will mostly delight with its nice yet strong aroma during evening wear.
Calvin Klein Encounter was created by perfumer Honorine Blanc and Pierre Negrin. It opens with cardamom, mandarin orange and rum notes along with hearty accords of cognac, pepper, jasmine and patchouli. The musky base is composed of cedar and agar wood.
Encounter by Calvin Klein will be advertised by handsome actor Alexander Skarsgard and gorgeous model Lara Stone. Alexander Skarsgård is riding high due to his spellbinding performance as the alternately smoldering and cold-blooded vampire Eric Northman in the smash HBO hit True Blood. Now Calvin Klein is harnessing the Swedish actor’s sexual energy by making him the face of their newest men’s fragrance, Encounter.
It felt interesting to me. I wanted to be involved with something where you tell a story — even though it’s a short story.
Alexander Skarsgård
He stars in the ad campaign alongside Lara Stone, who has previously worked with Calvin Klein. The dramatically shot, blue-lit campaign shows Skarsgård in the throes of romancing a mysterious woman. It looks how the scent should make you feel — daring.
Although it’s not explicit, there’s no denying the dark and compelling ad takes some inspiration from the actor’s vampiric persona. He is considered by most True Blood fans to be the hottest vampire in Bon Temps. Notes for the new fragrance include mandarin, cardamom and rum in the head; jasmine, cognac and pepper feature in the heart; while the dry down offers musk and cedar.
