New, High-Tech Blue Light Serum Shields Skin from Amethyst Skincare

The environmentally-driven skincare brand, Amethyst Skincare, is introducing its latest game changing product: Blue Light Anti-Aging Screen Protector at a time when, on average, nearly 60% of people are spending more than 6 hours a day on a digital device. This high tech, protective daily serum is designed to shield the skin from the deleterious effects of blue light exposure, which we are inevitably exposed to every day – between smartphones, tablets, laptops, televisions – making this serum an essential daily must-have.

The proprietary ingredient blend, Pixel X Complex, acts as a digital barrier for High Energy Visible Light (HEV) to reduce more than 70 percent of skin damage from blue light overexposure. Unlike other blue light serums, Amethyst’s Pixel X Complex works as a triple threat with time released micro-encapsulated hyaluronic acid (HA) and citrus stem cells to neutralize skin damage, hydrate the skin throughout the day and repair cellular damage.

The micro-encapsulated hyaluronic acid also releases HA over a 24-hour period to increase hydration levels lost from blue light exposure, helping to plump and hydrate skin throughout the day, for one-time only application. The Blue Light Anti-Aging Screen Protector has also proven to lighten skin discolorations and dark spots by 72 percent, increase collagen production by 37 percent, and restore hydration levels to 97 percent.

Consumers have been heavily educated about the damage that UVA & UVB light, from sun exposure causes to their skin, but not as many people realize the significant damage that HEV and blue light can cause to the skin, at the molecular level, from their technology devices. For as much time as we spend sitting in front of our computers and using our smartphones, our skin needs a protective shield against this damaging light that is absorbing it of the skin’s moisture. I am very proud of the technology in our Blue Light Anti-Aging Screen Protector and the barrier it creates for the skin.”

Five days of exposure to blue light can have the same impact as spending 25 minutes in midday sun with no protection. Similar to UVA & UVB exposure, blue light can also cause oxidative damage to the skin. However, blue light penetrates the skin at a much deeper level, where collagen and elastin reside, contributing up to 90% of visible signs of aging such as wrinkles, brown spots and rough texture.

The brand’s founder and beauty veteran, Nicole Simpson, perfected this serum using her extensive knowledge in skincare over the last 15 years. As a medical esthetician, biochemist, and former AVP of Global Education and Business Development at SkinCeuticals (L’Oreal) she has not only trained some of the world’s leading dermatologists, but she is science and research driven.

Amethyst Skincare is committed not only to protecting skin against the deleterious effects of pollution, but also to keeping plastics out of our oceans. For every five Amethyst Sincare products purchased, they will help pull one pound of plastic out of the ocean.

The Amethyst Skincare Blue Light Anti-Aging Screen Protector ia available at the brands website. Come ito the beautiful world of Amethyst Skincare.

Ruby engagement rings are said to symbolize love, passion and courage – perfect for a colorful engagement ring that represents your relationship. For those born in July, ruby rings are particularly poignant. If your loved one’s birthstone is the ruby, it is worth considering whether a ruby center stone or side-stones would be a gorgeous choice for their engagement ring.

Blue sapphire engagement rings  represent loyalty and devotion. As such, sapphires are a stunning and particularly meaningful choice for bridal jewelry. September’s birthstone is formed in a wide range of colors, from the popular blue to more unusual pink, yellow and purple. At 9 on the Mohs scale, diamonds are at 10, they are the third hardest mineral and are therefore durable. This means they can be worn daily, as long as they are cared for over time.

Lalique Amethyst

Lalique Amethyst Eau de ParfumLalique Amethyst Eau de Parfum

Amethyst is a feminine perfume by Lalique. This beautiful exclusive scent was launched in 2007 and the fragrance was created by perfumer Nathalie Lorson.

Of course, Lalique itself is the designer of the bottle, and it was inspired by René Lalique’s objects for bathroom, Epines (‘Thorns’) designed in 1920. The bottle describes the scent very well, if i could give this smell a colour it would be ‘purple’ of course. The crystal bottle for the perfume extract carries crystal blackberries on the top and is clothed in seductive…. purple.

Honestly, I’m not a fan of modern floral and fruity fragrances (mostly they are too artificial). But Lalique Amethyst is one of the most surprising fruity perfumes, surprising in its longevity. I thought the top notes of fruit would disappear, but they stuck around and overshadowed the floral heart. It smells a little bit like grape bubblegum, but not in an off-putting way and isn’t saccharine like other perfumes with similar fruit notes. The blackberry and blackcurrant are prominent and eventually dissipate into a slightly soapy, clean musk drydown. Amethyst also seems versatile in that it can definitely be layered with other perfumes that have stronger drydowns and are woodier in nature

I love the smell of pure black current in the top notes. It’s so fresh and juicy,- simply wonderful! The heart beats with the accords of intoxicating rose spiced with pepper, peony, lily and sweet, floral ylang-ylang. The base is powdery and soft with Bourbon vanilla and sensual musk.

  • Top: Blackberry, Blackcurrant, Rasberry
  • Heart: Floral Notes
  • Base: Musk, Vanilla

Amethyst has become my signature scent. I should confess that it’s a very sophisticated perfume, not provocative nor sexy, but concentrates on mind not body. This fragrance have much personality, and definitively confirm the very good taste of Nathalie Lorson. . Men and women alike are very attracted to this wonderful scent. Very nice everyday-scent.

It is available as 50 ml and 100 ml Eau de Parfum and 50 ml Perfume extract.

It has been associated with many myths, legends, religions, and numerous cultures. Amethyst is purple quartz, a beautiful blend of violet and red that can found in every corner of the earth. Historically, the finest amethyst were found in Russia and were featured in much royal European jewelry.

Birthstones by Month

precious red green yellow orange multi colored stone Garnet

Traditionally, a birthstone is associated with each month of the year. For example, the birthstone for January is a garnet, while lucky babies born in April get a diamond as their birthstone. The origin of birthstones is believed to date back to the breastplate of Aaron which contained twelve gemstones representing the twelve tribes of Israel.

It’s uncertain how the specific months became connected with the various stones. However, some speculate that their origins date back to biblical times when the breastplate belonging to a priest was decorated with 12 assorted colored gems. As time wore on, the 12 gems became associated with the zodiac and the months connected to it.

This started the tradition of wearing a colored stone each month as a sort of good luck charm. Initially people wore all twelve stones, rotating according to the month of the year to derive the greatest benefit of each stone. Believing that the various gems held magical powers for the individual born within a given month, people started to wear the stone associated with their birth month for the entire year. In 1912, the American National Association of Jewelers designed a list dedicating different gems to various months. What was once thought to be controversial based on its commercialism is now widely accepted as the official birthstone list.

14 Karat White Gold, Turquoise, Emerald, Sapphire and Diamond Necklace-Brooch

A vintage 14kt white gold, turquoise, emerald, blue sapphire and diamond necklace, the clasp of which can be worn as a brooch.

The current list dates back to 1912 with only one addition since then, the tanzanite was added to December. There are numerous legends and myths about birthstone healing powers and their therapeutic influence. According to these legends, wearing a gemstone during its assigned month heightened its healing powers.

For the full effect, individuals needed to own all twelve and alternate them monthly.
