In 1888, before embarking on a long trip, Frédéric Boucheron created a serpent necklace for his wife to wear as a talisman, inaugurating his interest in animal-themed pieces. This year, the French ‘Haute Joaillier’ Boucheron is revisiting that theme with seven new animal motifs, including the Cypris swan bracelets shown here; one features diamonds, the other black sapphires, and both are set in 18-karat white gold (prices upon request). A playful rose-gold hedgehog cuff and a radiant sapphire cockatoo ring are among the collection’s other bejeweled beasts, all of which are handcrafted in the 158-year-old jewelry house’s workshop on Paris’s Place Vendôme.
