Bvlgari celebrates ten years of philanthropic partnership with Save the Children

For the past ten years Bvlgari has been engaged in a social solidarity initiative designed to bring hope to children living in vulnerable conditions around the world. In partnership with the charity Save the Children, the Roman Maison continues its engagement for youth with the launch of new initiatives.

When you have hope the whole world can change before your eyes.

In 2009, Bvlgari joined Save the Children to help vulnerable children around the world, primarily by bringing them access to education. The two partners are celebrating ten years of actions this year, during which more than 1.5 million young people have been empowered to build a better future. The partnership has raised nearly €80 million, and 300 personalities have donated support for different initiatives since the launch.

Bvlgari recently unveiled the #GiveHope campaign. Captured through the lens of photographer Rankin, the monochrome images see personalities such as Lily Aldridge, Ursula Corbero, Alicia Vikander, Jon Kortajarena, Michael Fassbender, Lady Kitty Spencer, Laura Harrier, Eva Green, Nieves Alvarez, Mario Casas, Isabella Ferrari, Maya Henry, Evangelie Smyrniotaki, Kristina Bazan, Lebanese actress Nadine Nassib Njeim, Saudi Arabian singer Aseel Omran, Ginevra Bulgari, Carlota Bulgari, Paolo Stella and Bvlgari CEO Jean-Christophe Babin.

The collaborative pendent symbolises a shared ambition for creating a brighter future for vulnerable children across the world.

All wore the same creation by the high jewelry Maison, a silver and onyx pendant set with a red ruby, which retails for 750 euros (of which 75 euros will fund charity work). This latest jewel joins the sterling silver Save the Children collection, from which a portion of sales is donated directly to the charity.

To mark their ten years of partnership, Bvlgari and Save the Children also inaugurated the first Punto Luce delle Arti center in early November. The Punto Luce, or ‘points of light’, are centers created by Save the Children in disadvantaged neighborhoods across Italy to help combat exclusion, poverty and school dropout rates.

The first Punto Luce built in collaboration with Bvlgari taps into the power of art and creativity to help young people. At these safe spaces, children and teenagers can acquire knowledge and learn skills in cinema, photography and design.

Bvlgari Tubereuse Mystique is the newest addition to the Splendida Bvlgari family

Known for their exquisite jewellery collections, luxury goods and olfactory offerings, Bvlgari is extending their exclusive range of coveted fragrances this summer.

Get Enchanted by Bvlgari’s New Splendida Tubereuse Mystique

The Bvlgari perfume collection Splendida was presented in 2017 with three fragrances: Iris d’Or, Rose Rose, and Jasmin Noir. In January 2018, the collection was joined by Magnolia Sensuel, and now we are welcoming Tubereuse Mystique, representing the theme of the mystical and intoxicating flower of tuberose.

It’s splendid and captivating, just like the family it belongs to… As part of a collection in which each fragrance highlights a different facet of a woman’s character, Tubereuse Mystique captures the mystical beauty of the tuberose.

This legendary flower that has inspired the oriental dreams of A Thousand and One Nights, as well as many legends across the world, is now offering this perfume its opulent and hypnotizing aroma. Mainly harvested in India, Tuberose requires meticulous care because of its temperamental, delicate nature.

Named the ‘Diva of the Field’, it’s in fact one of the most expensive ingredients used in a fragrance. However, what makes this perfume different is that its star whose aroma reaches its peak at night, was cultivated during a nocturnal harvest exclusively implemented by the Roman jewelry house.

Top notes: Black currant
Heart: Tuberose, Davana
Base: Myrrh, Vanilla absolute

Like a jeweler, Bvlgari’s Master Perfumer Sophie Labbé dealt with the complexity of this natural gem and composed the fragrance using the floral and natural notes of Twilight Tuberose as key elements. To intensify it, she paired it with Davana Essence and Vanilla Absolute followed by warm amber tones that further reveal its distinctive and powerful trail. Accompanied by the powdery and intense floral notes of Twilight Tuberose, the mystical Splendida Bvlgari Tubereuse Mystique redefines sensual enchantment in its own way.

The fragrance is powdery, floral-oriental, and elegantly sweet, conceived as a mystical night-time perfume for women.

Bvlgari Spendida Tubereuse Mystique will be available as 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum. Come into the beautiful and wonderful world of Bvlgari.

Bvlgari’s Rose Goldea Blossom Delight Celebrates a Woman’s Coming of Age

Bvlgari Rose Goldea Blossom Delight embodies the scent of a blooming rose, a representation of the journey into womanhood.

Famous Italian jeweller introduced Rose Goldea in July 2016, after the success of the original Goldea. Bvlgari called it ‘a tribute to gold and femininity inspired by the golden goddess of beauty and sun’. This year, a new edition of this line, Rose Goldea Blossom Delight, has been launched as a youthful interpretation of the Rose Goldea composition.

The new fragrance symbolizes a young woman who is on the verge of maturity and at the beginning of her journey towards achieving her dreams and goals. Crafted by Master Perfumer Alberto Morillas, the brand new fragrance captures the gentle and fresh scent of blooming roses, featuring its key ingredient: Bulgarian Rose Absolute.

Top: Violet leaf, Green papaya, Apple jasmine
Heart: Rose, Rose leaf, Rose bud, Lily-of-the-Valley
Base: Bulgarian rose, White musk, Amber

Bvlgari’s Rose Goldea Blossom Delight composition describes the process of blossoming roses, and similarly, the woman who enters adulthood. The beginning is lively, with the raw scent of leaves, followed by the freshness of rosebud, and ending with musky scent of fully bloomed petals.

Bvlgari-Rose-Goldea-Blossom-Delight-FlaconBesides the fragrance, the flacon is also designed with Serpenti’s scalgie at its neck, which matches the valuable, rare nature of the fragrance of the perfume. Plus, the rounded flacon with its rose gold and turquoise cap will look just as good on your dressing table as it smells on your wrist.

Bvlgari Rose Goldea Blossom Delight is available as 30, 50, and 75 ml Eau de Parfum. Come into the beautiful world of Bvlgari.

Bvlgari Rose Goldea Limited Edition

Italian jeweler Bvlgari has never been one to shy away from boldness, so it comes as little surprise that the Italian Maison has transformed its iconic Rose Goldea fragrance this season with an exuberance that could only come from artist Jacky Tsai, making it the perfect gift for the upcoming festive season.

A limited edition scent decorated by Chinese artist Jacky Tsai designed to celebrate Rose Goldea’s second birthday. The illustrated bottle combines roses a nod to the main bloom in the scent, and the iconic Bulgari Serpenti jewellery design.

Known for his ability to fuse elements of Western pop art with ancient Chinese motifs, Tsai has been at the forefront of the art world for his refreshing approach to cultural differences, often with a whimsical twist. Here, the youthfulness and splendour of the lively fragrance is evoked with a vivid burst of blooms, a whimsical garden which sees a serpent elegantly weaving through the flowers.

Upon closer inspection, you’ll notice the Bvlgari icon forms the delicate silhouette of a face, a fleeting sight which pays tribute to the Roman goddess whose magic garden inspired the scent.

Now a firm favourite within Bvlgari’s spectacular line-up of fragrances, Rose Goldea – created by Alberto Morillas – is an enchanting exploration of femininity. The delicate aroma of roses are lifted by lively pomegranate notes, a fresh twist which then transitions into seductive middle notes of Damask rose absolute and grandiflorum.

It’s for rose fragrance lovers. However, it’s not granny it’s musky and sexy. The rose and pomegranate blend with jasmine, frankincense, and sandalwood leaves a woody softness on the skin that lasts for hours.

The floral accord finally culminates with a musky finish of sandalwood milk and white incense, giving the fragrance a distinctive exuberance that encapsulates the brilliance of the precious rose gold metal, and with a boldness that’ll undoubtedly help you shine during the festivities.

Any limited edition fragrance is worth investigating in, especially if it belongs to a fragrance family you love. This pretty floral not only ticks all the boxes for being an ultra feminine scent that is ideal for summer, the artsy bottle makes it a divine keepsake, that will add the glam factor to any dressing table.

Come into the world of Bvlgari and Jacky Tsai.

Bvlgari celebrates women with jewellery exhibition in Moscow

For over 100 years, Bvlgari has delighted with their exquisite high jewelry pieces attracting influential women such as Audrey Hepburn, Begum Om Habibeh Aga Khan, Sofia Loren and Claudia Schiffer.

Bvlgari has taken over the Kremlin Museums to showcase a retrospective exhibition – Tribute to Femininity – that traces the history of female emancipation illustrating the evolution of women’s desires as the world around them progresses with time.

‘Tribute to Femininity’, which opened Sept 7, features more than 500 jewellery creations dating from the late 19th century to the 1990s, charting the evolution of the brand’s style and celebrating the charismatic women inseparably linked with the history of the brand.
The Italian luxury brand’s creativity, craftsmanship and exceptional stones will be on show in the exhibition halls of the Assumption Belfry and the Patriarch’s Palace, where Bvlgari has opened up its archives for visitors to discover exclusive pieces, never before seen on public display.

This exhibit, the first of its kind in Russia comprises over 500 high jewelry creatings dating from the late 19th century to the 1990s, charting the evolution of the brand’s style and celebrating the charismatic women inseparably linked with the history of the brand.

Items from Bvlgari’s Heritage Collection as well as from private collections from around the globe including items which have never been displayed in public before, like the famous Begum Om Habibeh Aga Khan’s gold and platinum necklace and bracelet with turquoises and diamonds. Or the aquamarine and diamond tiara of the 1930s worn by the Infanta Beatriz of Spain on her wedding day. Highlights of the exhibition include La Dolce Vita’s Anita Ekberg’s cabochon sapphire and diamond parure, Gina Lollobrigida’s platinum set diamond and 21-carat pear shaped Colombian emerald earrings and Anna Magnani’s collection with the famed 25-carat yellow diamond Trombino ring, two platinum diamond brooches each adorned with a large pearl and matching pearl earrings.

The exhibition also features an impressive collection of jewellery owned by the actress Elizabeth Taylor. No Bvlgari exhibit could ever be complete without her collection. By far one of the most conspicuous ever assembled; this collection features the actress’s famed Emerald Suite complete with the iconic diamond and Colombian emerald necklace with removable brooch, pendant earrings, bracelet and engagement ring given all gifts from Richard Burton. It also includes a turquoise and gold Egyptian revival mirror created for the film Cleopatra and an Art Deco sautoir necklace with 52-carat cabochon sapphire.

Bvlgari’s Green Harrods Editions

Bvlgari’s latest high-jewellery collection, Wild Pop, was a creative success story in terms of exploring irreverent themes, from cats and space droids to LP players and marijuana (yes, really!). Its parent company LVMH singled Bvlgari out as having had an ‘excellent year’ in its 2017 financial results. On Monday September 17 it will open a newly expanded Harrods boutique, with exclusive creations to mark the occasion.

Green matches perfectly with our history. As a Roman jeweller, we’ve always worked with precious stones and more specifically with emeralds.

Fabrizio Buonamassa, director of Bvlgari Watches Design Centre

Three times larger than the previous space, the 178sqm shop is spread over two floors, with the department store’s only in-boutique lift. Visitors can expect a visual feast, especially as the interiors take their cue from the Peter Marino-designed Bvlgari flagships in Rome and Bond Street – an eclectic ode to Italian craftsmanship and history, where Pantheon-inspired bronze lattice screens and parquet floors mix with plush 1960s velvet furniture. The latter in particular recalls the visits that Elizabeth Taylor made to the Via Condotti shop while filming Cleopatra in Rome and, indeed, a special VIP lounge bearing her name can be found in the Harrods boutique.

Bvlgari Divas’ Dream Harrods Edition Necklace in gold, diamond and malachite
Price on request

Ten new jewels – eight of which are one-offs – have been created for the launch, and all pay homage to Harrods’ green livery in some way. A platinum ring (price on request) sees a 4.25ct emerald flanked by two square step-cut diamonds and surrounded by additional pavé diamonds, while the glamorous Divas’ Dream necklace and matching drop earrings (both price on request) feature malachite and gold trimmed with diamonds.

Malachite also appears in a rose-gold Parentesi bracelet and necklace (above, both price on request) with chunky interlocking motifs, which are bursting with personality, as well as the beautifully articulated Serpenti necklace (£65,000), a coiled bracelet (£60,000) and ring (£8,700), which have malachite, rose gold and diamond scales.

Bvlgari Serpenti Harrods Edition Bracelet in rose-gold,, diamond and malachite,

Not only Bvlgari’s latest high-jewellery collection, Wild Pop, was a creative success story. The  jeweler is on something of a roll. Last November, its watch division picked up two gongs at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève awards, the Oscars of horology.

Last year Bvlgari’s Octo Finissimo Automatic was the toast of the town – that town being Basel – for its record-breaking movement, and this year the Italian jeweller-come-watchmaker doubled down on their revolutionary creation. Alongside the ‘standard’ steel version they added titanium, rhodium and rose gold versions. They also added a sneaky little limited edition too – in green.

Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Automatic Harrods Edition Watch on alligator strap,

A special limited edition model of 10 of Bvlgari’s award-winning Octo Finissimo Automatic – one of the world’s slimmest self-winding watches, at 5.15mm – has the unique signature colour of the Knightsbridge institution that is applied to the dial and numerals which work brilliantly with the multi-faceted titanium case. The gold inset numerals really pop against the green, while the typography on the transparent case-back has been subtly changed to reference the store’s own.

Inside, the watch uses the same in-house, wafer-thin movement as the rest of the range and the finishing on the platinum micro-rotor and baseplate is exquisite, and has a power reserve of 60 hours. The 40 mm size paired with the incredibly light, ultra-thin titanium case makes this watch a real pleasure to wear. It’s square shape might look large but it rests elegantly – not to mention comfortably – on the wrist. It comes with an elegant alligator strap. I won’t bother saying what colour it is. Limited to just 10 pieces, it’s a cool take on a ground-breaking watch, whether you’re a Harrods shopper or not.

Bvlgari Wild Pop Monete Watch

We recently talked about the exclusive presentation of the new Wild Pop collection, the new Must Have by Bvlgari inspired by the essence of the eighties. Now it’s time to tell of jewels, authentic masterpieces of craftsmanship that combines color, passion and tradition.

The bold approach of the Roman Maison has always characterized that desire to break the rules but always with exceptionality and style. ´Most of all and all at once´ is the motto to which these creations are inspired that represent the tribute to those years where excess and extravagance were the basis of everything. Not only that, Wild Pop also wants to be a testimony to Bvlgari’s special bond with Pop Art’s father.

When one day Andy Warhol told Nicola Bvlgari: “I believe that your jewels are the ’80s”, the jeweler replied that they were not, because “We are always looking for the impossible”! A research that has produced beloved masterpieces all over the world, sometimes personalized and unique for the star system, especially the one that in New York represented the center of the world.

I wanted to create something about this fantastic dialogue between Bvlgari and Andy Warhol.

Lucia Silvestri, Bvlgari creative director

The Wild Pop collection is based on an intuition by Lucia Silvestri, the creative director of Bvlgari who, visiting the Andy Warhol Foundation, was able to see through the catalogs and the correspondence of the artist, how close the link with the Maison was. “I wanted to create something about this fantastic dialogue between Bvlgari and Andy Warhol and so in 2018 the precious artefacts are born where glamor is the protagonist. Unique and sparkling gems with unexpected combinations interpret the excitement and audacity of that liason”.

For a ´wild pop´ idea of the time, Bvlgari created a necklace-watch. The ´Monete´ is a pendant with a watch inside, with a 52mm case in 18kt pink gold with diamonds and an authentic antique acient silver coin, a Tetradrachm of Kyme in Aeolis, 2nd century BC, to be exact. The malachite dial recalls the theme that returns in the chain (length 90 cm), also in pink gold with malachite, diamonds and emeralds inserts.

Like all the precious creations of the Maison, the craftsmanship and the wisdom represent ineliminable connotations in the production of every jewel that is born through the skill and precision of an ancient goldsmith’s art that is renewed without losing its aura of exceptionality.
