Panthère de Cartier with Annabelle Wallis

Cartier’s new ambassador Annabelle Walis incarnates unforgettable Panthère de Cartier. Appearances can be deceiving. Behind her luminous complexion, blue eyes and gentle manner, the French Maison discovered a great strength of character, a fearless spirit and a hunger for self-expression: the soul of a panther, driven and determined to turn convention on its head and get her teeth into something.

I found that Panthère de Cartier resonates with the forces and energy that drive me as a woman.

The Panthère de Cartier watch owes its timelessness to the precision of its proportions. More than a timepiece, it is also a piece of jewelry. Faithful to the aesthetic of the original model, this iconic piece is as glamorous as ever, yet resolutely modern in its design.

Streamlined, authentic and sophisticated, it combines the very best of Cartier design. Tiny screws punctuate the bezel with style, while the flexible links of the gold bracelet coil around the wrist. The soft square shape, legendary octagonal sapphire winding crown, and Roman numerals are other signature features.

Nothing has altered in its lines, design or bracelet; the Panthère de Cartier watch exhibits that rare ability to stand the test of time. It is as contemporary and edgy as ever.

Panthère de Cartier’s Sensual Allure

Since the Panthère was first launched by Cartier in the 1980s to capture the hearts of a younger clientele, it has become an understated symbol of elegance, and made up a big highlight again of Cartier’s new releases at this years SIHH.

The stylish timepiece takes on a new look with a collection that blurs the line between fine watchmaking and jewellery savoir-faire

This year, the Panthère de Cartier is back, and it’s especially the multiple-coiled bracelets in gold, steel or paved in diamonds that are stealing the show – defining it primarily as a piece of jewellery that also tells the time.

At Maison Cartier, the panther – a muse of the French jeweller since 1914 – takes on endless forms. Released earlier this year at Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie Genève (SIHH), the Panthère de Cartier collection now manifests its feminine allure further with an exciting choice of bracelets – available in a double or triple loop, and with chain links in yellow gold, pink gold or white gold that coil seductively around the wrist and lower arm.

Its owing form is supple on the skin, characteristic to the iconic style of the Panthère de Cartier watch that layers elegance upon elegance. Remaining quintessentially Cartier is the dainty square case with rounded corners and its intuitive design. Diamond pave on the case and bezel in selected pink gold and white gold versions further serves to maximise the visual appeal.

These bejewelled variations are complemented by renditions of the original Panthère de Cartier watch in pink gold, entirely paved with diamonds, yellow gold, pink gold and steel, while their bezels are also paved with diamonds.

Cartier Panthère de Cartier

The 2018 edition of the Panthère de Cartier watches is a renewal of the signature line, with its square case with rounded edges and rivets on the bezel. The new edition is available in steel, white gold, yellow gold, pink gold, and steel and gold, with diamonds on some versions. The white dials feature the distinctive Cartier Roman numerals, square chapter ring, and blued hands.

What’s most interesting is that for the first time ever, the Panthère watches also come with double- or triple-loop metallic bracelets, on some exclusive versions.
