Annie Leibovitz is most known for her portrait photography and editorial work, most recently for a multitude of Vanity Fair issues since the 80s, yet her work crosses over to fashion. Many of her images have a huge place in our culture today, including the December 8, 1980 image of John Lennon and Yoko Ono. While working at the magazine, Annie Leibovitz made a fateful photograph of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, which expressed their loving relationship. Taken 5 hours before his death, it was the last professional photograph of John Lennon. After Rolling Stone, Annie Leibovitz worked for Vanity Fair and Vogue magazines.

Whether it’s the signature dance moves of Michael Jackson, or the environmental activist work of Leonardo di Caprio, Annie Leibowitz knows the unique angle from which to present any star. She admits that she never liked the word ‘celebrity’.

I’ve always been more interested in what they do than who they are. I hope my  photographs reflect that.

Sooo delicious! Chanel Antaeus pour homme

Channing Tatum GIF

Antaeus was a handsome hero, son of Greek Goddess of the Earth, Gaeia and God of the Sea, Poseidon. Chanel Antaeus, designed by Jagues Polge, and launged in 1981, is a true classic in the world of fragrances. It’s one of the better Chanel fragrances and can be easily worn in the office without offense. Even though it has been made in 80’s the smell is very modern and It doesn’t smell dated at all!

Chanel Antaeus Pour Homme

Chanel Antaeus Eau de Toilette 100ml spray (click photo to enlarge)

A magnificent, raw, but refined opening of musky castoreum, warm but dry and really close to leather, but gently softened by aromatic woods, spices and silky colourful hints of flowers. Animalic but friendly and elegant, it has a typical fougère ‘gloominess’ but it also appears more ‘young’, relaxed and modern than most of other more classic and austere fougères, and also more sophisticated and sharp. The evolution is quite predictable, as it remains a castoreum-leather smoky accord, just drier and lighter as hours pass. Restrained and noble, always without being too shady or heavy, rather keeping it slightly ‘airy’ and more lively thanks to rose, jasmine and fresh tasty herbs like thyme and sage. The vintage version that was even stronger was more amazing, but even the reformulated version is really good.

Rating: 8,9/10

Chanel Antaeus, is a warm, woody fragrance with notes of Sage, Patchouli and Labdanum.

  • Base notes:Labdanum, Beewax Absolut,
  • Heart notes: Patchouli, Sandelwood,
  • Top notes: Clary Sage, Myrtle

For me this fragrance gives confidence, more sexual heat, beast mode on, the versatile, classy, cozy, masculine. timeless classic’ smell! The deoderant stick is great, very soft, not sticky or something. Perfect for those who shave their armpitts! And the showergel is heaven!! Precious oils make it even for the most dry and sensitive skin a sensation under the shower, even when you are alone…. Sadly an other heavenly product, the Body Rub, from the range is out of production, for a long time. That makes my last bottle much more precious!
