Chopard’s famous Happy Sport collection turns 25 and celebrates the occasion with shimmering mother-of-pearl dials and a new specially designed internal automatic movement… Introducing the new generation of Happy Sport.
In 1976, Chopard introduced the now iconic Happy Diamonds line, which features movable diamonds behind a crystal. This would become their signature, both for watches and for jewelry. The Happy Sport was the first watch to combine stainless steel cases and diamonds and was launched in 1993.
Caroline Scheufele came up with the idea of combining a sporty stainless steel case with floating diamonds on the dial. The Happy Sport was the first watch to combine stainless steel cases and diamonds and was launched in 1993.
At Chopard, Joie de Vivre is a founding principle, a breath of fresh air, a form of momentum that is meant to be shared. At the heart of each everyday action, it is this very movement that flutters and brings to life the endlessly renewed ballet of the mobile diamonds. Through the grace of a gesture, a generous sign of attention, or a smile, the entire universe lights up.
The Happy Sport is Chopard’s cult watch with its signature moving diamonds, which skate and swirl across the dial at the slightest touch, taking the seriousness and formality out of jewelry watches.
As one of the few independent, en famille, Chopard likes to take matters into his own hands. Today brother and sister – Caroline and Karl-Friedrich Scheufele – run the company. This family business, with branches in Geneva, Fleurier and Pforzheim, has grown into one of the most successful jewelery and watch manufacturers in the world.
Since 1996, the Chopard Manufacture has been the main production facility for the ultra-high-end LUC timepieces (and home to the dedicated Ferdinand Berthoud team of watchmakers, KFS’ pet project), while other timepieces are produced at Chopard’s nearby Fleurier Ébauches, very mechanized terrain.
Chopard Calibre 09.01-C
The new 09.01-C calibre has been developed and assembled exclusively for the 30mm Happy Sport at Chopard’s Fleurier Ébauches manufacture. An automatic movement regulating the hours, minutes and central seconds.
It beats at a frequency of 25,200vph (3.5Hz), has a power reserve of 42 hours and is made from 159 components. Decorated with thick 2mm Côtes de Genève stripes on the rotor and bridges, the main plate features circular graining.
Mobile diamonds for men, poached by a woman
The first Happy Diamonds watch was a gold square men’s dress watch with unset diamonds on the black onyx dial. A one-off piece, designer Ronald Kurowski had to solve the problem of diamonds scratching the watch’s surfaces and falling over.
His solution was to sheathe the diamonds in a thin layer of gold and place them between two layers of sapphire crystal. The watch, which won a jewellery award in 1976, was an astounding success and in 1993 crossed over into female territory with Caroline Scheufele’s Happy Sport collection revisited in sporty, stainless steel cases.
25 years Happy Sport
Mother-of-pearl, in pastel shades of pink, white and blue, is used to decorate the dial. The natural iridescence of the textured mother-of-pearl creates a warm sheen that changes according to the angle of the light. Adding further light and movement to the dial are Chopard’s hallmark floating diamonds skating across the round rink.
The curvaceous Roman numerals at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock and the indices are applied and gilded for the rose gold cases or rhodium plated for the steel model and a blue sapphire cabochon is inserted in the facetted crown for an extra touch of femininity.
The four new models in the Happy Sport family belong to the Mini range with small case diameters of 30mm (the other Happy Sport watches come in Medium 36mm and XL 42mm cases). Nothing has been altered regarding the shape of the case, which comes in stainless steel with a gem-set bezel, trendy two-tone steel and 18k rose gold, and 18k rose gold with or without a gem-set bezel.
Presented on matte alligator straps to match the colour of the dial, prices start at EUR 7,450 for the steel and rose gold model and reach EUR 19,100 for the rose gold model with a diamond-set bezel.

Dubai welcomed influencers, editors and A-listers to witness the unveiling of the new Chopard perfume collection. Here’s why it’s a must-have…
It’s no secret that Chopard is often inspired by middle east art and culture, not only in their precious jewels – and watches – but also in their fragrances. Chopard is renowned for expertly blending an elegant array of scents to create an olfactory experience quite unlike any other. Following the news that the Maison is creating a new fragrance collection, titled Gardens of Paradise, Chopard held an exclusive soirée at the courtyard of the One and Only Hotel in Dubai to officially launch the four-flacon collection.
Chopard have launched four luxury fragrances capturing the various scents of the Arabian Gardens of Paradise.
Gathering the city’s top editors and personalities, as well as guests of the Swiss jewellery brand such as Chopard Chief Executive Officer Caroline Scheufele and British-Moroccan model Nora Attal, the elegance of the opulent dinner was echoed through beautiful table settings.
I wanted to recreate the peaceful and restoring aura of the oasis, and it’s tradition of hospitality. I imagined the reassuring scents of vegetal ambers, the touch and feel of warm sand in the powerful shadow of sky-reaching palm trees.I wrapped everything into the rich aroma honey, to create a special sense of bliss and abundance.
Created by master perfumer Alberto Morillas, the new Gardens of Paradise perfume collection offers the most luxurious scents inspired by the Arabian gardens. Named Miel d’Arabie, Rose Seljuke, Jasmin Moghol and Orange Mauresque, Morillas worked with bold natural ingredients such as calabrian bergamot, indian sambac jasmine, damascena rose and provence honey to bring together a series of beautiful and expressive fragrances. Our top pick? Miel d’Arabie that’s reminiscent of precious spices, tea infusions and sweet pomegranate, blended with a floral and balsamic aromas of honey extract.
Blending ingredients such as milk and honey, the divine delights of the desert will surely become the must-have scents of Spring.

Following a career in music, cinema and fashion, singer Rihanna is now entering the jewellery market thanks to a new partnership with luxury Swiss jewellery house, Chopard. The new collection – simply named Rihanna Loves Chopard – is the culmination of a creative synergy between the Grammy winning singer Rihanna and the brand’s Co-President and Creative Director, Caroline Scheufele, and features both a jewellery and high jewellery line inspired by the singer’s Carribean heritage.
Rihanna in recent years has worn Chopard jewels on red carpets at major events so the two described the move to collaborate on new collections as natural.
I have always been in love with Chopard’s exquisite jewellery, so to actually design collections with them is something I still can’t believe. It was a really incredible process and I learnt so much! I can’t wait for everyone to see it.
The debut pieces from the Rihanna Loves Chopard Joaillerie, nine spare pieces follow a modernist style and re-create Chopard’s signature chain link Ice Cube motif with deep forest green ceramic and warm 18 karat rose gold.
For the second collection Rihanna Loves Chopard Haute Joaillerie collection include a pair of simple, elegant 18 carat diamond earrings, and a vibrant pair of chandelier earrings made with a rainbow of blue, pink and yellow sapphires rubies and more… These may look familiar to those who closely watch the singer’s every move. At the recently held Grammy Awards, she wore the floral earrings and on the March 2017 cover of Harper’s Bazaar, Rihanna wore the transformable diamond earrings. Chopard said the high jewelry collection is inspired by Rihanna’s island roots – the lush gardens of Barbados and the bright colors of Carnival.

Inspired by nature, Chopard’s award-winning timepiece collection has welcomed a special anniversary edition.
A single moment of inspiration between Chopard’s designer Ronald Kurowski and the kaleidoscopic light display of a waterfall led to the creation of the maison’s iconic Happy Diamonds timepiece. The watch, which was first created in 1976, features freely moving diamonds within the dial, a concept so revolutionary that it earned the coveted Golden Rose of Baden-Baden award.
Diamonds are happiest when they are free to dance.
Now, to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the award-winning concept, Chopard has created a ladies watch, which not only pays homage to the original design but also takes it to the next level – think more diamonds of varying sizes. Available in both square and round-shaped cases with dials in white mother of pearl, both with 15 mobile prong set diamonds of which are encircled in diamonds set. The anniversary edition also features a subdial that’s once again surrounded by sparkling gemstones.
The Happy Diamonds watch is offered in a limited edition of just 150 pieces. $48,500. And is available at Chopard boutiques across the world.
Maison Chopard enjoys playing modern-day Cupid on Valentine’s day, rather than silver arrows, its quiver contains a sprinkling of diamonds and rubies teamed with white gold. Chopard unites the delicacy of the former and the romanticism of the latter within a watch.
Hearts for the taking or amorously taken, you are the target and are duly warned: on Valentine’s Day, Chopard rarely misses its mark.
Framed by an 18-carat white gold case, the shimmering white textured mother-of-pearl dial of the Happy Diamonds Joaillerie model draws all eyes to the joyfully spinning five diamonds and five tiny ruby hearts that are a true Chopard signature. The stones are set on prongs – a new feature introduced to mark the 40th anniversary of the Happy Diamonds and thus shine more brightly than ever. The brilliant-cut gemstones adorning the bezel further enhance this dazzling whiteness that a playful Cupid has shot through with flaming red arrows of passion. When it comes to the game of love and seduction, the Geneva-based Maison holds the trump card.

Yesterday I saw old friend Annelore and we talked about fragrances and our favorits. Hers was Chopards Casmir. In the 90’s a true bestseller, and even now it has many ver loyal fans.
Mysteriously and exotic. Chopard’s Casmir Eau de Parfum is an oriental vanilla fragrance for women. Chopard Casmir is a perfume that is named after Chopard’s famous Casmir jewel range and inspired on the lotus flower. The lotus flower is seen in India as a symbol of strength, virtue and abundance.

Chopard Casmir is lush, rich and warm and it kidnaps you into the far, mysterious world of the Orients. The nose behind this fragrance is Michel Almairac, and it was launched in 1992.
One of my most loved perfumes of all time and one that I never get tired of. Fits my personality like no other. Love it love it love it.
Casmir is a very warm, fluffy vanilla fragrance. The refine sensual base note with the esssences vanilla, musk and amber. lends its long continuing, harmonious smell to the parfum. Casmir Eau de Parfum presented in a beautiful refined bottle in form of an eastern palace with a golden roof catch.

Mango, Coconut, Apricot, Peach, Black Currant , Raspberry,
Amber, Vanilla, Tonka Bean, Opopanax, Musk, Benzoin
The not seizable fruity head note introduces the heart note, which consists of a chord of white exotic flowers such as jasmine, rose and ylang ylang. In every level it reminds me of my travels through India where you can smell the most fantasics scents on almost every corner.

And I do have to mention the body products about this one because it is one of the few that are true to scent, and believe me, once you have tried the shower gel and the body lotion, you will search the earth for them (sadly, they are so hard to find!). The body cream is simply to die for, it’s so good! It treats even the dryest skin perfectly, whole day! And then that scent…. heavenly!
Notice: I can’t say it enough times (so I’ll do it again): Using this fragrance like this, spray it on your skin from a 25 – 30 cm distance! Give it a little air. Don’t spray it from to close. Otherwise it can take up to 4 hours before it smells like it should smell… In those 4 hours, a lot happens, mostly not positive… Using it in the right way, and it’s perfect!
Using the shower gel, put a little in your handpalms, warm it up, and spread it over your ‘wet’ body… and let the magic happen.
Use the bodylotion or bodycream, instead of your other bodycare. It treats your skin more then perfect. They also have a very good concentrate of perfume, so most people who are using the bodycare, spray a little Eau de Parfum at the end of the day for the evening…
The last rays of light caress the golden dunes. The sky is melting into a velvet curtain of deep purple. Night slowly descends on the desert and a soft breeze brushes against her skin, arousing a shiver of anticipation down her spine.
Scented with the sweet flowers and honey, the wind is full of untold promises, carrying a stirring feeling of joy and delight. It speaks of a romantic meeting still to come, of the melding of two hearts. It calls to her, whispering her secret name, Amira…
Amira D’Amour Happy Spirit, Chopard’s new Eau de Parfum, is a celebration of everlasting love. This rich and sophisticated scent was conceived as a distillation of emotions, an intense concentrate of passion. A luminous ode to romance, it weaves a spell of tenderness and desire. It’s an is an invitation to surrender to the magic of this moment, somewhere between the mesmerizing golden light of reality and the purple depth of your most secret dreams.
Master perfumer Jean-Christophe Hérault (IFF) blended the most exquisite essences into a refined love potion, a unique woody floriental scent. The opening note of pink pepper is a piquant attention-catcher, bound to captivate the senses. It offers a perfect prelude and contrast to the accord of Jasmine absolute and Orange Blossom that follows.
This delightful flowery combination brings a dimension of opulence, an entrancing sense of seduction and femininity. Rich dry-down notes of warm honey and velvety Tonka bean prolong this sensual odyssey, leaving behind a lingering trail of sheer voluptuousness.
Chopard Amira D’Amour Happy Spirit Eau de parfum, 75ml
Amira D’Amour Happy Spirit’s bottle is a tribute to Chopard’s jewelry-making tradition and know-how. Conceived by Patrick Veillet, it perfectly symbolizes what Amira d’Amour is about. Shaped as two interlocking hearts, the unique flacon is made of heavy glass. Its vibrant, intense purple tint evokes the fragrance’s nocturnal sensuality.
The matching faceted stones on the stopper were inspired by the shape of a Chopard Toi et Moi ring. Their velvety depths are artfully emphasized by the surrounding golden band, a symbol of eternal love.
The folding box echoes this colour code through the delicate lace of oriental pattern. The traditional lattice-work motive alludes to the fragrance’s oriental inspiration. Wrapped in a purple-bordered gold ribbon, it provides an ideal case for Amira D’Amour Happy Spirit’s enchanting flacon.
Since 1988, the house of Chopard has been a partner to the Mille Migla prestigious Italian race of vintage cars. 14 years ago, for this occasion, Chopard had launched a watch collection of the same name, that is still vèry populair. Then in 2013 it was time for the 1000 Miglia masculine fragrance…. And now there is 1000 Miglia Extreme!
More than a mere race, the Mille Miglia is a ritual gathering that brings together car aficionados from all over the world. On scenic roads winding through the most breathtaking Italian landscapes, they celebrate a common passion for these classic vehicles that combine technical precision, mechanical performance and timeless elegance.
Precision, performance and elegance have always been cardinal virtues for a watchmaker like Chopard. And since 1988, the company has supported the Mille Miglia race, celebrating each meeting through a limited edition ‘Mille Miglia’ watch. Last year, Chopard launched the Chopard 1000 Miglia perfume, a seductive and sophisticated fragrance that reflected the spirit of this unique event.
The new Chopard 1000 Miglia Extreme is inspired by the tension of the race, the feeling of speed and the rush of adrenaline. It reflects all the intensity and excitement of the competition. Chopard 1000 Miglia Extreme was designed for daring men who are not afraid to take risks – calculated risks. For winning such a race is both a matter of self-confidence and perfect mastery. It requires all the concentration and ability of a consummate pilot to remain in the zone, to find this delicate balance between abandon and control. It is the most exhilarating feeling.
It takes a very specific mindset to appreciate this kind of tension and thrive on it. Chopard 1000 Miglia Extreme was conceived for such free spirits. It is an ode to this dizzying sensation of speed, thrill and liberty. Chopard 1000 Miglia Extreme is a vibrant and addictive woody oriental. To convey the sudden rush of adrenaline experienced during a car race, Bruno Jovanovic (IFF) created a striking contrast between a fresh and vivifying floral top note of lavender and a powerful base note of leather. It perfectly symbolizes the mix of extreme intensity and unwavering assurance that characterizes a good pilot.
Heart: Asphalt accord
Base: Leather, Cedar wood
This unique olfactory effect is sustained by a strong heart chord composed of Chopard 1000 Miglia’s iconic asphalt accord facetted with precious cedar wood. Combining a rich and smoky evocation of the road and the timeless elegance of cedar, this blend is totally in synchronization with the fragrance’s universe.
Chopard 1000 Miglia Extreme’s appearance is a tribute to the automobile and watchmaking savoir faire. Underlining the intensity of this fragrance, the bottle is uniformly black. Its lacquered mat finish is a token of sobriety and elegance. The black rubber cap is reminiscent both of the Mille Miglia watch bracelet and of the Dunlop tire that inspired it. As for the red lines that appear on the flacon and the black outer box, they imitate those found on the race cars’ crew stickers.
