His killer red-soled heels have dominated the fashion world for nearly 30 years, his makeup line brought a whole new meaning to the words ‘luxury packaging’, and now world-famous designer Christian Louboutin has turned his attention to creating his first-ever fragrance collection. Finally.

The French shoe designer launches its new collection of fragrances called LoubiWorld. The official launch date is November 11th, while the perfumes are already available for pre-order in markets such as Japan. The LoubiWorld collection consists of seven new releases: Loubifunk, Loubidoo, Loubikiss, Loubirouge, Loubirouge, Loubiraj, Loubicrown, Loubicroc. Inspired by the designer’s memories, fantasies, and dreams, each scent is a key that unlocks an entire universe.

Some time for magic. To bring each fragrance to life, Christian Louboutin collaborated with a friend, Hélène Tran, whose ethereal designs echo both the poetry and humor of each universe.

Housed inside Louboutin-red flacons topped with beautifully ornate silver caps, each fragrance is unique and different, taking you (and your nose) on a totally different journey depending on which one you opt for. To further bring the story of each scent to life, the designer partnered with illustrator and close friend Hélène Tran, whose exquisite illustrations act as a tour guide to guide you through the lands and fantasies of Louboutin’s mind.

Loubifunk is inspired by carnivals and samba dancing, and combines notes of Turkish rose, black currant and patchouli. What good luck, wherever you are this lucky cat will bring you great fortune!Tip-toeing on velvet paws, it blends the direct simplicity of strawberry with the opulence of rose and cedar.

Bring some good luck to your vanity table with this mischievous, playful perfume. Created by perfumer Daphné Bugey, Loubidoo is a charming and mischievous floral-fruity fragrance. The composition combines the direct simplicity of strawberry with the richness of rose and cedar. Christian Louboutin beauty collection comes to Tangs

 

Good news for all Singapore’s Christian Louboutin fans! Next month, Christian Louboutin will be opening its first beauty counter in at Tangs at Tang Plaza and will be offering a repertoire of makeup for the lips and eyes, as well as nail colours, for your shopping pleasure. You won’t find the entire collection available in Singapore yet, but here are the objects of beauty you’ll be able to shop.

First up, Nail Colour housed in 8-inch tall spiky bottles that reflect none other than the stiletto silhouette. This was the first beauty product the brand launched and because Louboutin is a shoe maker and knows all about toes, the 29 bold, metallic or nude shades will go perfectly with your Loubies.

Next, the lip collection featuring the Silky Satin Lip Colour, Velvet Matte Lip Colour and Sheer Voile Lip Colour will be available in 20 shades, 18 shades and 9 shades respectively. Choices, choices, choices. Choose from light to deep tones, across neutrals and browns to berries and corals. And of course, each line will feature Louboutin’s signature red colour, Rouge Louboutin.

It’s worth noting that the lipsticks can be worn on more than just the lips. For example, the Velvet Matte Lip Colour with an intricate vial inspired by Middle Eastern antiquities and the Art Deco Movement, comes with a small ring threaded with a silk ribbon that can turn it into a necklace.

 

Finally, the Tape à l’Oeil Eye Colour, which was inspired by and named after women who turn heads. The direct translation means eye-catching and that’s what the liquid formula, which can be used as an all-over lid eyeshadow or graphically as an eyeliner, is designed to do.

I wanted to evoke the mystery and opulence of perfume, to renew the way precious oils were treasured in the past and to celebrate a woman and her desires.

According to the brand, these oils are elixirs containing the highest concentration of parfum oil and no added water or alcohol making them a more ‘intimate’ fragrance experience in comparison to traditional perfumes. Fragrance oils can be layered to create new and personal scents, or worn alone.
