Prada Infusion de Rose

logo-pradaPerfumer Daniela Andrier collaborated with Miuccia Prada to create a collection of  elegant and sophisticated unisex fragrances. Each fragrance is an interpretation of natural ingredients and the contrast between traditionalism and modernity. The fragrances of this collection were launched as limited editions. The Infusion collection from Italian fashion house Prada began in 2007 with Infusion d’Iris.

In 2015, Prada returns this collection as permanent. It presents six fragrances: the re-launched Infusion d’Iris, Infusion de Fleur d’Oranger from 2009 and Infusion de Vertiver from 2010, and three editions Infusion d’Iris Cèdre Prada, Infusion d’Amande and Infusion d’Oeillet from 2015.

Prada Infusion de Rose

Now Prada presents its new version of their popular perfume Prada Infusion de Rose (2011). The new edition resembles much the original perfume launched in 2011 – an infusion of a delicate and adorable bouquet of flowers.

However, the new Prada Infusion de Rose perfume still has its new point of view and a more updated composition. This perfume blends one of the finest and aromatic roses in the world: Turkish and Bulgarian roses along with neroli, galbanum and a fresh mandarin notes.

Bvlgari’s Le Gemme Imperiali

Bvlgari Le Gemme Imperiali Jade Collection

Bvlgari’s romantic past with jade is as colourful as the most cherished and sensuous stone of the East. The love affair blossomed in its colour revolution back in the 1950s and ’60s, when the jeweller took to Chinese antique jade carvings. The central part of its Roman flagship store, at the Via Condotti, housed bracelets, earrings, brooches, and even carved ‘paper knife’ handles no different from those of ancient traditions. As the Jade Gallery grew, so did Bvlgari’s fascination with the mystical stone.

The great refinement, knowledge and mystery of ancient China have always fascinated me. I find jade very special; the incredible opacity but also the milky transparency of jade in the light. The unique shades with their soft polish is very sensual.

Daniela Andrier, master perfumer

More than half a century later, Bvlgari wanted to develop a trilogy of fragrances as a tribute to China. The idea was then to transcribe the refined and sophisticated elegance of its traditional culture conveyed by jade into three fragrances, then finding the perfect balance and creating harmony. Bvlgari continues its lifelong dedication with three new floral perfumes Le Gemme Imperiali. Imagined from the purest jades of green, white and purple, they embody splendour, purity and desire, respectively.

Bvlgari’s Le Gemme Imperiali

Each is bottled in elegant flacons with their respective jade slivers and topped with the iconic golden fans of the Bulgari Diva jewellery collection.

Each fragrance has been associated with other notable and precious ingredients. Splendia, the green jade, is a blend of magnolia, narcissus absolute and tree moss, conveying natural elegance. Irina, the white jade, sees the combination of magnolia and jasmine petals absolute with sensual musk. It conveys purity. Finally, Desiria, the rare purple jade, is a combination of magnolia with lush petal flowers and a unique ambergris accord. It imbues a feeling of delicately floral richness.

It seemed clear to me early on that it should be the common luxurious ingredient of this trilogy of fragrances. Magnolia flower oil has a unique scent but is also very exclusive. The flower has a waxy aspect, reminiscent of the milky aspect of jade. It comes from China, is precious and gives a rich and natural note to the fragrances.

Daniela Andrier, master perfumer

Jade culture in China has inspired Bvlgari designers who carefully designed new fragrance bottles aligning them with the jade colors. Irinia, Desiria and Splendia take the form of previous Le Gemme bottles in black decorated with white, purple and green surfaces clearly suggesting the type of jades. Details in gold color on the edges and stopper further contribute to the beauty and elegance of the bottle.

Bvlgari Le Gemme Imperiali Irina,

A journey into the purity, mysticism and serenity of Ancient China. Inspired by the purest white jade and its aura of peacefulness, respect and generosity. Irina, a name of Greek origin, signifying ‘peace’, pays delicate homage to women of supreme elegance and femininity, whose beauty and poise emanate as much from within as from without. Bvlgari’s Le Gemme Imperiali – Irinia is a sensual and sophisticated Eau de Parfum of sumptuous floral musk notes.

Bvlgari’s Le Gemme Imperiali Irina1As key notes of the composition, perfumers selected floral notes of magnolia and jasmine followed with sensual musk.

Bvlgari Le Gemme Imperiali Desiria,

A journey through a luxuriant royal garden of the Tang empire. The soul of this luscious fragrance is mauve jade – a rare and exuberant gemstone. Desiria, meaning ‘desire’, conveys everlasting love and passion throughMauve jade. A sultry and captivating Eau de Parfum, the scent of a Chinese garden fantasized.

Bvlgari’s Le Gemme Imperiali Desiria1Desiria carefully transfers desire with the fragrant bouquet of roses surrounded by magnolia blossoms and a warm cloud of musk.

Bvlgari Le Gemme Imperiali Splendia,

Emblematic of Asia’s imperial power, the sublime green jade gemstone has been coveted by Emperors and Aristocrats for thousands of years. Splendia, a name that evokes the beauty and splendour of the Queen of all jades.

Bvlgari’s Le Gemme Imperiali Splendia1Splendia showcases floral notes of magnolia and narcissus over moss that provides a natural and earthy tone. Green jade on the bottle reflects the freshness and green colors with a scent of lush spring daffodils.

They convey beauty and sophistication in a delicate but nevertheless affirmed way. The woman who wears these fragrances signals her presence and personality with an understated yet unmistakable message of grace. Graceful, but long-lasting and very memorable.

Bvlgari Le Gemme Imperiali are available in a 100 ml Eau de Parfum at the price of 235 pounds.

The Scent of Italy: Bottega Veneta Parco Palladiano

Bottega Veneta unveils Parco Palladiano fragrance collection

Although we may not all be able to experience the vast cultural heritage and lush landscapes of Italy, except probably as a vacation now and then, Italian fashion label Bottega Veneta says it has bottled the experience into the Parco Palladiano fragrance collection. Bottega Veneta aims to convey the pure sense and spirit of the Veneto region in Italy, and especially the scents from the garden of its famed Palladian villas, with its new unisex fragrance collection.

The result of over two years work, the Parco Palladiano collection is numbered by simple Roman numerals – I, II, III, IV, V, VI – to reflect the classical heritage of the Palladian villas. Just like everything created by Bottega Veneta, the Parco Palladiano collection expresses the maison’s four cornerstones: fine quality materials, artisanal craftsmanship, contemporary functionality, timeless yet innovative design.

Bottega-Veneta-Parco-02

“Palladio is a source of endless inspiration for me in many ways”, says Tomas Maier, who conceived and oversaw the collection. “My father was an architect who studied the work of Palladio, so his teachings have always been part of my life even before I started as creative director at Bottega Veneta. Palladio was an artisan as well as an architect who sought balance and harmony in everything. The Palladian gardens that inspire this ‘Parco Palladiano’ collection represent a perfection on earth and an agricultural utopia”.

Priced at $296 for a 100ml bottle, the whole collection will come in the form of six scents, each with different ingredient or aroma for the region. These include magnolia, cypress leaves, sun-ripened pear, azalea flowers, aromatic herbs (laurel, rosemary, sage), and, the queen of flowers, rose. These scents were developed from two years of testing and concocting various experiences and moments from the gardens. Maier called on three perfumers for this: Michel Almairac and Daniela Andrier, who have already worked with Bottega Veneta, and Alexis Dadier, who works with the brand for the first time.

Bottega Veneta Parco Palladiano

Michel Almairac has been a part of the Bottega Veneta fragrance story from the beginning, creating the debut signature women’s fragrance Bottega Veneta. He has continued his relationship with Bottega Veneta, also developing Eau Legère and Essence Aromatique.

Daniela Andrier has provided the women’s fragrance Knot as well as collaborated on the first men’s fragrances Bottega Veneta Pour Homme and Pour Homme Extrême.

Alexis Dadier is creating his first fragrances for Bottega Veneta with the Parco Palladiano project. “Tomas Maier is very inspiring to work with,” says Alexis, “because he has a very clear story in his mind about the world he wants to create with the fragrance.”

I am fascinated by their work. With the Parco Palladiano collection, they have created fragrances that extend and tell a new story about the Bottega Veneta world.

PARCO PALLADIANO I

This fragrance evokes the early moment at the beginning of the day, when the sun begins to shine on a garden that is still dew-covered, immaculate. “For this scent, I immersed myself in that marvellous orderly world of the Venetian villas, creating a fragrance just as I experience the gardens,” says perfumer Michel Almairac.

The most noble and refined tree of the gardens is the magnolia, and this fragrance captures not just the flower but the full sensory experience of sitting under the magnolia tree: the woodiness of the bark, the cool shade of the leathery leaves, the strong sweetness of the petals.

PARCO PALLADIANO II

“The cypress tree is emblematic of the Venetian landscape, its slender shape a link between Palladian architecture and nature. This scent has all the vitality of spring, very green and fresh,” says Alexis Dadier.

The vertical scent of cypress leaves unfolds with a dual personality: a deep and dark green hand-in-hand with a stimulating bright freshness, further contrasted with the sharpness of pink pepper.

PARCO PALLADIANO III

GIF_Parco_PalladianoIII_big.gif

This scent recreates a moment in fall, passing by a pear tree in a garden’s orchard, the pears nearly overripe and ready for harvest, falling from the branches into the green grass.

The warmth of the sun-ripened pear is heightened by an infusion of fresh mint leaves. “It is an imaginary promenade where the seasons overlap like a labyrinth,” says Daniela Andrier, “and memories of gardens in bloom mingle with those of our childhood.”

PARCO PALLADIANO IV

GIF_Parco_PalladianoIV_02_big.gif

“In the afternoon, the clouds of azaleas that cover the ground outside a Palladian villa are magical. I wanted to capture the sense of a garden in summer as the scent rises in the sunlight,” says Alexis Dadier.

The colourful azalea flower, rarely used in perfumery, spreads its smooth and solar perfume while an undertone of velvet chestnut brings texture to the fragrance revealing a luxurious landscape.

PARCO PALLADIANO V

GIF_Parco_PalladianoV_02_big.gif

This fragrance, created by Daniela Andrier, conjures up a walk towards the aromatic herb gardens near a villa. As the sunlight hits the gardens, the tree path provides brief shadow and adds to the scent of this perfect mid-afternoon moment.

Woody, slightly spicy, the aromatic breeze combines the crispness of laurel with sturdy rosemary and soft sage leaves. “My intention was to bring the elegance of these gardens to life, and also their imperfections, to render them even more romantic”, says Andrier

PARCO PALLADIANO VI

GIF_Parco_PalladianoVI_02_big

The sixth fragrance, created by Michel Almairac in collaboration with Mylène Alran, centers on a sensual rose that has been in the sun all day long, tasty, spicy, almost ripe.

“The rose is the most elegant of flowers,” says Mylène Alran. “It is the most elegant, the most intense.” The opulent rose bridges the gap between building and nature as it is picked and brought inside the villa for evening, its intensity combining with the warm woodiness of the furnishings.

THE FLACONS

Bottega Veneta Parco Palladiano

Each bottle of Parco Palladiano reflects the traditions of Bottega Veneta and the Veneto region, with the house’s iconic intrecciato at the heart of the design.

Intrecciato is the instantly recognisable signature of Bottega Veneta, the distinctive leather weave design developed and handcrafted by the house’s artisans. It was by focusing on the intrecciato that Tomas Maier started the revival of the Bottega Veneta, celebrating the extraordinary expertise that remains at its core today.

Bottega Veneta’s motto ‘When your own initials are enough’ expresses a philosophy of individuality and confidence, while reflecting the discreet and sophisticated aesthetic of the intrecciato signature design. Intrecciato shows Italian craftsmanship at its highest level and reveals Bottega Veneta’s understated luxury rooted in the quality of materials and artisanal tradition from the Veneto region.

For the Parco Palladiano collection, intrecciato appears all over the flacon, cap and the packaging. The flacon itself is inspired by classic Venetian glasswork, an aesthetic that defines the Bottega Veneta fragrance house.

THE ITALIAN WORLD OF FRAGRANCE FROM BOTTEGA VENETA

Bottega-Veneta-Parco-Villa-3

The fragrances of Bottega Veneta tell the stories of quintessential Italian experiences. From the first scent, creative director Tomas Maier wanted to bring meaning to fragrance, evoking through scent specific Italian moments, capturing the timeless beauty and heritage of the land.

With each new creation a story begins, conjuring to life a distinct aspect of Italy, from the landscape and environment to the life lived in it. The approach is unique in fragrance, typical of the Bottega Veneta commitment to forging its own path.

We have a natural evolution in everything we do at Bottega Veneta, and with fragrances it comes through the stories that we tell through scent. We started out with women’s fragrance, then we moved to men’s. Now we have Parco Palladiano, and with them all we create a world, one that will always work together.

Thomas Maier

With the release of these scents, Bottega Veneta has done well to honor the region that they’ve been a part of since the brand was founded in 1966. The six bottles in the collection will be sold exclusively in Bottega Veneta boutiques.

Prada launch unisex perfume inspired by dreams

prada launch unisex perfume inspired by dreams

Inspired by the uncanny juxtaposition of the real and the imaginary, the feminine and the masculine, the precious and the mundane, Prada Olfactories is the latest 10-piece collection of unisex fragrances from Miuccia Prada’s iconic design house. Created by expert perfumer Daniela Andrier, each concoction awakens the senses with their contradictory elements.

Bottled in clear glass flacons, with sky-blue plaques, and midnight-blue caps, representing night and day, and with names like Purple Rain (representing a link between land and sky, heaven and humanity), Tainted Love (a playful and charming celebration of synthetic allure), and Pink Flamingos (the scent of fluorescent pink blossoms) they’re as imaginative as they are beautiful. Each fragrance comes with its own Prada-stamped silk pouch and surreal collage, which Daniela has described as representing a dream.

“The accompanying visual collages on each of the fragrances represent a dream”, she told Vanity Fair, “dreams are really impressions when you awake. The colours and feeling are all broken up in one’s mind, and that’s how these fragrances were constructed, that these are possibly memories that belong to them, the consumers”. Distributed exclusively, Prada Olfactories are available in some Prada Boutiques and through select high-end retailers. It’s what dreams are made of.

Welcome into the wold of Prada.

Bvlgari Le Gemme Parfum

It couldn’t lack: a brand that in recent years, has so concentrated on expanding its perfume collection, located in the highest segment of the luxury industry, and its 150 year anniversary celebrates … Bvlgari presents his niche line. Striking: Bvlgari is the first jeweler who remains close to its origin for inspiration – so logical actually.

Bvlgari Le Gemme rangeBvlgari, the six-piece collection of high-end Eau de Parfums that are called ‘Le Gemme’ or Italian for ‘the gems’.

Was La Collection Extraordinaire by Van Cleef & Arpels (anno 2007) inspired by chic-classical interpretations of beloved flowers, that of Cartier on the hours the day (Les Heures, anno 2010), the Italian jeweler with Greek roots choose favorite semi-precious stones: amethyst, turquoise, tourmaline, peridot, citrine and calaluna.

Each ‘stone color’ is a symbol of a certain kind of smell, but the most important thing: Ashlemah, Noorah Amerena, Lilaia, Maravilla, and Calaluna reflect the purity and transparency of the olfactory especially to perfume jewelry carved stones.

Bvlgari In 2014 Bvlgari launched Le Gemme, a new collection of luxury perfumes inspired by precious gems and their historical trade routes.

Since the Phoenicians began to sail the Mediterranean Sea, it forms a bridgehead between Europe, Africa and Asia that people and their culture connect, and bring together the wonders and essence of luxury.

And they traveled, in the footsteps of Alexander the Great, by caravan, and took precious woods, resins, herbs, plants and flowers of the high plains of Pakistan and Tibet through the Arabian deserts to the Mediterranean. From this fragrant distilled something be distilled from this fragrant load that (initially) gods were worshipped, (later) anointed Kings and (then) the it spoiled the elite: perfumes. Precious stones were also transported via these routes and with the same AWE welcomed. Along with perfumes they functioned as fantastic intermediaries whose existence was unknown until then.

And: ‘ it is this surfeit that Bvlgari inspired this haute parfumerie collection that a loving expression is for raw materials of excellent quality still rarely used. Hailed in delicate, opulent and luxurious bouquets they manifest themselves as a meeting between the freshness and sensuality of a Mediterranean garden and the warm, silky mists of the Orient ‘.

LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, under whose luxury label umbrella Bvlgari falls, roped in perfumer Daniela Andrier of Givaudan for the task of crafting the scents around gems. Master perfumer Daniela Andrier created each of these sensual scents with a beloved Bulgari gem in mind. Even the bottles look like Jewels!

Bvlgari Le GemmeLike a precious jewel: Bvlgari Le Gemme Lilaia

This month birthstone Peridot’s ‘Lilaia’ is fresh and woody, with touches of mastic, peppermint, orange and mate. Turquoise’s ‘Noorah’ is more exotic and features galbanum, cardamom, iris, benzoin resin, tobacco, oak, patchouli oil and vanilla. Tourmaline’s scent of ‘Amarena’ is floral and fruity with sensual tuberose and powdery rose notes. Amethyst’s juice is ‘Ashlemah’ and ‘includes notes of lavender, iris, violet and heliotrope. citrine’s ‘Maravilla’ is a chypre scent rich in citrus, as well as peach, jasmine, patchouli and acethyvenol. Lastly, Moonstone’s scent of ‘Calaluna’ contains sandalwood, cardamom, heliotrope, ambrette and a pear accent. Bvlgari crafts some of the most luxurious fragrances out there, and their collection just raises that bar even higher.

Bvlgari Le Gemme Collection Lilaia Eau de Parfum .Bvlgari Le Gemme Lilaia

As Treasurer of this sextet chose Bvlgari the amphora: ‘with its archetypal form symbolizes the once long journey of the raw materials and lulls the roundness and by his graceful elegant neck lines the elixirs as a precious amulet, from top to bottom an ornament of transparency and light’. The cap is inspired by a cabochon-cut gemstone: a polished performance ‘put’ in a yellow gold ring of which ‘the tonality of each stone is intensified by the black of the amphora that the seamless border marks between perfume and jewellery ‘

Bottega Veneta Pour Homme Extreme, raw and sophisticated

bottega_veneta_pour_homme_extr_me_2.jpg

Bottega Veneta’s Creative Director Tomas Maier, together with master perfumers Antoine Maisondieu and Daniela Andrier, has developed a more vibrant and intense interpretation of Bottega Veneta Pour Homme scent. The result, Bottega Veneta Pour Homme Extreme, is a compelling and alluring fragrance for the confident man of style.

Bottega Veneta’s signature men’s scent, Bottega Veneta Pour Homme, is inspired by a vision of a rustic respite in the Dolomite mountains. Redolent of pinewood, fir balsam and aged leather, the distinctive fragrance fuses rugged sensuality and subtle intellect for a fresh and understated scent that lingers in the mind like a memory. Now, Bottega Veneta complements and enhances the Pour Homme signature with the introduction of this vibrant new interpretation, Bottega Veneta Pour Homme Extreme.

Bottega Veneta Pour Homme Extreme video

Bottega Veneta Pour Homme Extreme is an expression of the more intense, sensual facets of Bottega Veneta Pour Homme. The new scent is a combination of rare and unique ingredients woven together to create a fragrance full of contrasts, while preserving its essential nature.

The fragrance features amplified labdanum and pimento notes, revealing a new richness and character, while the soul of the scent continues to radiate through its woody aromatic accord, heightened by intensified notes of leather.

Bottega Veneta Pour Homme Extreme Flacons

The bottle mirrors the soft curves and powerful shapes of Bottega Veneta Pour Homme, with a matte black intrecciato base. Inspired by Venetian glasswork and the traditional Italian carafe, it is a finely crafted object in its own right, and a pleasure to hold in the hand. The crisp black and platinum label echoes the confident, understated masculinity of Bottega Veneta menswear.

Pour Homme Extreme will be launched with an advertising campaign featuring Zak Steiner as captured by Axel Lindahl, the same model and film-maker behind the BottegaVeneta Pour Homme campaign, shot on location in New York City.
