Dolce & Gabbana’s Velvet Collection, launched in 2011, includes 17 fragrances, and are inspired by the private memories of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana as the fruit of a dedicated research into the ancient essences of Italian tradition. reinterpreted, using contemporery perfume making techniques, bringing the wearer on an unprecedented olfactory journey to discover to discover the orgins and the history of the fashion house.

Now Dolce & Gabbana fills up its exquisite and luxurious The Velvet Collection with one more daring, elegant and classic perfume Velvet Incenso designed to please both men and women. Dolce & Gabbana Velvet Incenso is a new woody/oriental perfume licensed by the Shiseido Group.  

Dolce & Gabbana Velvet Incenso is a strong and delicate fragrance composed of high-quality ingredients such as frankincense, elemi resin, benzoin, patchouli, amber and of course the main ingredient incense. Vibrant incense essence is set alight by a spark of black pepper essence. With its citrus and pepper facets, elemi essence echoes these opening notes, its resinous burn introducing the darker heart of the fragrance.

Top notes: Black peper, Frankincense, Elemi resin
Heart notes: Benzoin, Incence, Rock rose absolute
Base notes: Amberwood, Patchouli

Definitely, not an everyday perfume due to its heavy notes to be worn during the day, yet a very prominent aroma to be remembered.

 

The new perfume preserves the same bottle shape as other Velvet Perfumes, yet colored in a dark brown color – the color of incense.

Sublime is inspired by the orange groves of Sicily

Velvet Sublime radiates a sun-warmed effect with a splash of Sicilian mandarin. Joyful orange blossom and neroli reveal their crisp, dewy petals.

Velvet Love is inspired by the carnations of Lake Como.

This fragrance’s redolent carnation flowers envelop oriental notes, giving in to an exhilarating rush of ylang ylang and pepper.

Velvet Desire is inspired by the Renaissance period.

Velvet Patchouli is an intense, luxurious patchouli oil drenched with kephalis that cedes to a rich, musky presence. Patchouli: the first fragrance I felt really belonged to me. It became my statement scent.
