Givenchy Live Irrésistible Eau de Toilette ad

For 2016, Givenchy captures the scent’s uplifting joie de vivre in an Eau de Toilette, for an even more refreshing, rich and audacious version of the original fragrance. It’s due to land in stores for summer 2016.

Like the original Eau de Parfum, Givenchy’s Eau de Toilette was developed by Dominique Ropion (Givenchy Amarige, Lancôme La Vie est Belle, Paco Rabanne Invictus, Dior Pure Poison). The perfumer has created an uplifting and fizzy fragrance, bursting with floral, fruity notes.

Givenchy Live Irrésistible Eau de Toilette opens with soft top notes of pear and juicy raspberry, bringing a fresh and fruity zing to the scent. Rose brings richness to this fruity cocktail, which rounds off with notes of Jamaican allspice, blonde wood and musk.

The scent’s long, slender and textured bottle is finished in shades of pink, with pastel-hued glass and a brighter, candy pink label.

American actress Amanda Seyfried returns as the face of Live Irrésistible in a campaign filled with elegance and humorous self-mocking. The campaign includes a TV ad, filmed by Matthew Frost, and a magazine ad, which sets the Givenchy ambassador in a summery Parisian scene, shot by Matt Irwin.

Givenchy Live Irrésistible Eau de Toilette is available in two formats, 40ml and 75ml.

Model Ignacio Ondategui fronts Dirk Bikkembergs’ debut fragrance campaign for Dirk

Launching the campaign for its debut fragrance Dirk, fashion brand Dirk Bikkembergs remains true to its sporty DNA. An athletic vision, model Ignacio Ondategui fronts Dirk’s advertisement as the cologne’s leading man. Aimed at men that share a modern affinity for sports and style, Dirk leads with the idea:

Be strong. Be wild. Be the man who fights for his goals, inside and outside the playground.


The dynamic new scent features a punch of green apple, bergamot and pink pepper, hit with geranium, tonka beans and orange blossom. Dirk’s base consists of animalistic notes, benzoin and vetiver.


The launch of Dirk, created in partnership with Perfume Holding, is part of this new strategy. The fragrance’s distribution will begin in June in Italy, then in September in other European countries such as Germany, Spain, Russia, Benelux and Poland, with other new markets to follow.

Gucci pays tribute to 50 years of its floral print by unveiling Gucci Flora limited edition fragrance



Floral might be the trending fashion in recent times, but it is a revival of an enriching past. Gucci is celebrating 50 years of its Floral print this year, and as part of the festivities has launched a limited anniversary edition fragrance Gucci Flora. This is a regeneration of the brand’s 2009 Gucci Flora fragrance. The top notes of this special edition will be rose and osmanthus supported by the scents of hesperidium fruits, mandarine, peony, pear, pepper, fruits, leather, musk, pink peppercorn, cedar wood, patchouli, sandalwood.

  • Top: Mandarin orange, pear, pepper

  • Base: Leather, patchouli, cedar, musk.

The iconic scent was born when former American actress and Princess of Monaco Grace Kelly and her husband, Prince Ranier of Monaco, visited Gucci’s Via Monte Napoleone store. As a gift to this fine lady, Rodolfo Gucci (one of the three sons of Gucci founder Guccio Gucci), hired artist Vittorio Accornero to create a floral motif on an original silver scarf. The final product featured 43 different kinds of flowers, herbs and insects and ended up creating history.



The fragrance is packaged in the 1966 floral print that won the hearts and attention of ladies the world over, the Gucci floral scarf. As well as the exteriors, the glass bottom of the bottle will also feature the floral print.

The print got a revival in 2005 when Frida Giannini, creative director of Gucci unveiled it in the spring-summer fashion collection, and which was later presented also in perfume collections Flora by Gucci and Flora by Gucci Garden Collection.

Gucci Flora Anniversary Edition 2016 fragrance composition was created by Firmenich, and the bottle design was by Giannini.


Peace and freedom: Nina Ricci L’Air du Temps Parfum by Lalique

L’air du Temps  was created in 1949, when Nina Ricci’s son Robert sought to expand the house’s business into perfumery after their first succesful fragrance, Coeur Joie . Sinds then a true golden classic, L’air du Temps is a rare creation that transends the changes of time. Yes this is an old fragrance, but it is one that is truely ageless!! In its original production, the perfume was contained in a bottle designed by Rene Lalique.

This fine fragrance has delicate topnote blends of jasmine and gardenias nestled in basenotes of sandalwood and iris. I find this romantic scent that is well blended and wears long. May not be for everyone, but do not pass up a chance to at least try it out

In the famous Lalique bottle it’s availble in several sizes: 7,5ml 15m and 29ml as perfume, and 1250ml as Eau de Toilette. Over the years, many (precious) limited editions appeared, designed by Lalique, and are now true collectors items.

Buying Perfume for Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is coming up rather quickly, and it may be hard to pick the right gift for the special mom in your life. A gift idea would be to get them some perfume, and you have to know how to spring it on them so they can be surprised.

Another suggestion would be to go in the bathroom and look for yourself while she is out of the house. You can either take a picture of the bottle or you can make a mental know if you are sure that you would not forget. If you do not live together, you can do that as well but make sure you excuse yourself to the bathroom when you are over for a visit so you can have a free minute to take that picture or make a mental note.

Cheaper than the perfume itself, and not all moms buy it for themselves, but they all love it, is something from her favorite perfume line… like a bodylotion, or for dryer skin a bodycream, or maybe a dry oil. Or for a very busy mom: a beautiful shower or bathgel, so she can relax together with her favorite fragrance.
