Urban Decay Alice Through the Looking Glass 2016

Whenever Urban Decay releases a palette, it’s somehow always better than the next. Each Naked sells out instantly upon arrival. And the Vice palettes!? There’s nothing more electric and exciting for beauty junkies. The results are even more rad when the brand teams up with epic movies. Now, Urban Decay and its founder, Wende Zomnir, have revealed that their next partnership is here, and it’s major.

Urban Decay and Wende both took to Instagram to show off their brand-new collab with the Alice Through the Looking Glass film. Another Disney-themed product launch? It couldn’t be more perfect. And this isn’t the first time that the brand has linked up with Alice. Back in 2010, they released a gorgeous Alice in Wonderland Book of Shadows stocked with all the dreamy colors you could imagine coinciding with the film’s launch.

Urban Decay Alice Through the Looking Glass presented a collection that is eyeshadow palette consists of limited-edition which looks like it will quickly run out at launch. In order to welcome the launching of the sequel to Alice in Wonderland, ‘Alice Through the Looking Glass’, Disney granted Alice fans dreams come true by making collaboration Urban Decay Alice Through the Looking Glass.

The palette will feature a rainbow of 20 different fantastic shades, with whimsical names inspired by the names of the characters of the film. Not only that, Urban Decay Alice Through the Looking Glass also provides five options of gorgeous lipsticks to match with color palette eyeshadow.

Givenchy La Revelation Originelle Spring

Givenchy La Revelation Originelle Spring 2016 makeup collection is exactly what we all need these days. Gorgeous highlighter, and refreshing pink for lips, nails and cheeks. There are also a brown eye liner, grey mascara and colourful eye shadows.

For the face,

The star of the collection is definitely the uber gorgeous illuminator Poudre Lumiere Originelle, an enhancing powder for an imperceptible, soft focus finish. It is a light pink highlighter  that leaves the skin radiant and luminous. Quite possibly the most beautiful powder of the season! And then I mean: it’s result!

There is also a new shade of the cult Givenchy Le Prisme Blush in 41 Lune Rosée which combines the following shades: peach, light pink, rose pink and coral. Seems like another must have to perk up the complexion.

I love the idea of the brand’s Mister Scrub which is a gentle exfoliator in a stick format and Mister Gentlebalm which is a lip balm that combines a moisture booster and a colour enhancer to nourish, hydrate and naturally reveal lip colour.

Dior’s Glowing Gardens

Dior S Beauty9springlook016_visuel

Dior’s makeup collection for the upcoming Spring 2016 is radiant and brimming with elegant, floral colours.

Entitled Glowing Gardens, the suite of beauty products evoke a bouquet of light that evokes the charm and springtime luminosity of gardens in bloom, inspired by the techniques of professional makeup artists and the products they use backstage, like Lip Glow, the Colour Reviver Lip Balm.

springlook16_slideshow_07From the 5 Couleurs palette, Dior Vernis, to the new Diorshow Colour & Contour eyeshadow-liner duo, this season’s makeup is fresh, joyous and profoundly Dior.

This spring, Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup, reinterprets the art of a gorgeous glow with a luminous makeup collection that teams new Backstage Pros essentials with eyeshadows and lipsticks in colours inspired by the flower gardens of Granville.

The makeup designed by Peter Philips for this season is an alliance of pastels tones and light and luminous textures. To create a perfect glow, Dior Addict Lip Glow Pomade lends delicate shine to lips, before they are then subtly enhanced using Dior Addict Lip Glow Lilac which reacts to the skin’s pH, causing them to pinken naturally. Diorblush Glowing Gardens gives cheekbones a light pearlized shimmer to highlight the natural skin tone and mirror the eyes. Then to make eyes sparkle and optimise the freshness of the look, Dior Addict It-Lash Platine mascara lengthens and intensifies lashes, giving them an iridescent shine. Makeup has witnessed an influx of color. The shades of the 5 Couleurs Glowing Garden palette which come in sky blue, peach and pearl gray for Blue Garden or in pink, iridescent brown, anise and pale yellow for Rose Garden – are applied as a gentle cloud on the eyelids. They make reference to the colors of the garden at Granville where Christian Dior grew up, and which can be found right down to fingertips accented with Dior Vernis in blue or soft green, pink or peony red.

YSL Exclusive Couture Palette Clash & White

A powerful black electrifies a virginal white for a bold graphic finish Couture Palette Clash & White.

A new season a new YLS limited edition 2016 couture summer palette! This time YSL comes up with this zebra inspired packaging Exclusive Couture Palette Clash & White, a new couture 5 eyeshadow palette.

The ‘Clash and White’ edition is decorated with animalistic zebra print and a new harmony of shades. The palette includes an intensifying base shade, a highlighter to illuminate the eye’s inner corner and the curve below the eyebrow, finish your look with three eyelid shades for contrast. Color glides on smoothly, evenly and blends effortlessly. Dare to intensify your couture look with the new Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils.

It’s a beauty. So elegant and chic. To be honest, I don’t even like animalistic prints, but this is so well done. Superb. This is great. White tigery. And this white is not just white, it’s a pearly white. Nice.

Opening this purse beauty, you will see five shades in the usual YSL lay out, four eye shadow colours on the sides and one eye liner shade in the middle. The question becomes: where is the white part of the clash? It’s not present in the palette. In general, the shades are not what I expected on hearing the name ‘Clash and White’.

YSL-Exclusive-Couture-Palette-Clash-White-2016 a

The eye shadow is soft, not too soft though, it’s good and solid YSL quality. Well, instead of white here we have this sparkling light yellow, it’s very textured by the look of it, it consists of myriads of tiny little yellow sparks. This shade is a little too light to be a very becoming eyeshadow colour.

More of a highlighting under the brow shade. Matt grey eyeshadow. Looks kind of grege in the palette, but comes off medium grey when swatched. Somehow the beige part disappears altogether.

Shiny warm golden brown, that is, it’s a warm brown shade with a bunch of golden sparkle. Very lush. Just like the grey, it looks kind of darker grege in the palette, but goes the other way – not into grey, it goes all the way into warmer brown. Unexpected.

Pearly and shiny golden khaki. Looks lighter than it swatches. Pair it up with golden brown and you’ll get artsy and super hot smoky eye shades. Red carpet level look.

Then there’s a matt black eye liner in the middle. It’s not a dark black shade. Some people would call it borderline grey. Charcoal grey.

As always, the palette comes with two aplicators: One has an eye shadow sponge on one side and a pointed eye shadow sponge on the other side. The other one is a pointed eye liner brush

I kind of like the whole golden side. What’s the connection to Clash & White though? I don’t get it. Gorgeous design. And randomness almost of shades. I guess, the conclusion is, if you want these golden shades, you can go for this palette. If you don’t – it’s not like they are unique, you might have them already in one form or another – then why do you need it? Well, unless you can’t resist the design. I can certainly understand if you can’t!

Dior Tie Dye Collection for Summer 2015

This summer is going to be much more beautiful with Dior!

Yesterday, you can read the review of the Chanel summer collection, today it is time for those of Dior called ‘Tie Dye!’. The ‘Tie Dye’ concept was already seen in the fashion collections of Christian Dior, but it is now also translated to make up.

Think of beautiful summer colors that blend together, replace and transform. I am very happy, and I’m incredibly curious what you find about the collection! Today I review the backstage Pro palette, a turquoise Khol, a bright pink Fluid Stick and a whole summer in Sunwashed Salin.

5 Couleurs Couture Eyeshadow Palette  (Limited Edition)

  • Contraste Horizon
  • Ambre Nuit

DiorSkin Nude Tan  (Limited Edition)

  • Pink Sunrise (001)
  • Coral Sunset (002)

Dior Addict Lipstick  (Limited Edition)

  • Red Bliss (001)
  • Coral Trip (002)
  • Fuchsia Utopia (005)
  • Nude Fever (006)

Dior Addict Fluid Stick  (Limited Edition)

  • Tropiques (379)
  • Ciel Rose (449)
  • Plaisir (779)

Christian Dior has the Dior Addict Fluid Sticks in their range for a while, but I had not yet tried them myself (I’m sorry!), I was so very curious if this liquid lipsticks where more a gloss, or would tend more to a lipstick. I used the Plaisir (779), which is a flamboyant fuchsia color. A perfect color for the summer and matches nicely in combination with the neutral eye look which I have made earlier with the Eye Reviver palette. The pigmentation is incredibly good and certainly like a lipstick, while the shiny texture is similar to a lip gloss. A thin layer is really more than enough.

DiorShow Khol  (Limited Edition)

  • Pearly Turquoise

Most of you know that I am quite a fan of the eye shadow sticks/khols. It is the ideal product to apply your eye shadow in an easy way. You just need one layer, a little mascara, and you are ready to go! Pearly Turquoise is a deep blue color with a metallic finish. The structure is really perfect: not too creamy, but not too dry.

Vernis  (Limited Edition)

  • Sunkissed (239) This is a nude pink crème shade.
  • Sunwashed (319) This is a pastel yellow crème shade.
  • Sundown (464) This is a hibiscus red crème shade (my favorite!)

For summer, Christian Dior presents three stylish, candy hues that are completely wearable to create a refined yet stylish manicure. The Dior Tye Dye Summer 2015 collection also includes a new top coat (limited edition!) that can be worn over other lacquers to create a cool ombre nail art effect.

Top Coat  (Limited Edition)

  • Tie Dye

This is a top coat that transforms each colour into an ombre effect. Buy some extra bottles!! Great to see what you can do with one little bottle!! Try it on all your nailpolish!!

The whole collection is currently availble in the shop!

Dolce & Gabbana launches first cream eyeshadow

Dolce & Gabbana has introduced an entirely new product: a cream eye color available in single shades. The new Perfect Mono Intense Cream Eyeshadow was created in collaboration with famous makeup artist Pat McGrath.

It’s perfect by itself although adding a lighter tone from your favourite Eyeshadow Quad or Duo, or applying a pearl shade alongside a matte one will create extra drama.

Pat McGrath.

The new collection consists of 14 beautiful shades, all formulated with oils, silicone and silk elastomers for precise and easy application and up to 12 hours of wear. And just because this eyeshadow has a cream texture doesn’t mean it can’t be worn with powder products.

To give its new eyeshadow the campaign it deserves, the brand enlisted the help of one of its most loyal spokesmodels: Scarlett Johansson. Already the face of the Dolce & Gabbana fragrance The One, the actress is now also the star of a new makeup campaign shot by Mert and Marcus.

Dolce & Gabbana’s Perfect Mono Intense Cream Eyeshadow will go on sale at stores this fall.
