Identical bottles. Individual influences. Chanel Les Exclusifs is a collection of 14 fragrances first created by Ernest Beaux, Mademoiselle Chanel’s exclusive perfume creator to present day by Jacques Polge.

Each fragrance reinventing a moment in the life of Gabrielle Chanel’s life. A home, her atelier, her country side walks. 14 unisex fragrances. Which scent inspires you?

• Cuir de Russie. An imperial fragrance inspired by old Russia
• Coromandel inspired by the exquisite Chinese lacquer screens in Gabrielle Chanel’s rooms
• Jersey, a scent of freedom named after the fabric Gabrielle boldly used in her designs
• Bel Respiro, fresh open air of the French countryside.
• Beige, a colour beloved by Chanel for the simplicity it evokes
• 28 la Pausa, the woody country smell of Chanel’s country home
• 31 Rue Cambon, the couture fragrance named for the location of her atelier.

• Sycomore, woody and noble
• Gardenia, the closest flower to Chanel’s beloved Camellia flower
• Eau de Cologne, simple and refreshing • No 22, created in 1922, graceful powdery florals

• No 18, inspired by the Chanel boutique at 18, place Vendome, rich and full of surprises.

More Lebanese dreams

I talked previously to you about Elie Saab’s Essance’s, and about the creater of those Lebanese dreams that are captured in a bottle. I promised  to you, I would tell you all about those Essence’s created by Francis Kurkdjian.

Essence N° 1 Rose, unexpected, multi-faceted, unique

Voluptuous and enveloping like layers of precious fabrics, Essence N° 1 Rose weaves the most magnificent essences and absolutes of Centifolia and Damascena Roses.  A burst of fresh flowers reveals the dazzling brightness of essences of Turkish and Bulgarian Roses when the absolutes of Rose from Grasse and Turkey exude their intricate elixir. Vanilla and Cedar dress the trail of the Rose with a thousand faces…

Official, ‘La Collection des Essences’ are so called ‘unisex’. so can be worn by both women and men, but his one is for me very feminin.

 

Essence N° 2 Gardenia, a tribute to the art of trompe l’oeil  

 

Essence N° 2 Gardenia is a true olfactory trompe l’œil, a blooming sculpture crafted from the duality between creamy wood tones and tender floral notes, with exquisite green and white accents. Egyptian Sambac Jasmine brings a radiant floral infusion to a creamy heart of Iris Butter absolute. The sophisticated and elegant trail is revealed in a caress of rare and precious Indian Sandalwood.

 

Essence N°3 Ambre, a radiant glow, born from black

A luminous reinterpretation of a mythic Haute Parfumerie accord: amber. Essence N°3 Ambre pays tribute to the essence of the Couturier’s dazzling work.  The brightness of a fragrance bursts forth from darkness, a spectacular embroidery of black glitter and coppery crystals. Essence N°3 Ambre illuminates the darkest elements in the perfumer’s palette: Opoponax becomes radiant, Patchouli is resplendent and Sandalwood dazzles.

 

Essence N°4 Oud, black monochrome

Essence N°4 Oud is a virtuoso variation on a black monochrome where powerful volumes and subtle textures meld in an architectured silhouette. The intriguing and spicy nuances of Black Pepper and the unctuous soft curves of Benjoin triumph in this ode to the mystery and depth of sensual Agar Wood.

Lebanese dreams with Elie Saab’s La Collection des Essences

Last year Elie Saab has launched an exclusive collection of luxury fragrances ‘La Collection des Essences’, in collaboration with Beauté Prestige Internationall. La Collection des Essences is a unique collection of scents inspired by Haute Couture, crafted with the same commitment to excellence and exclusiveness that go into a Couture creation. Elie Saab was drawn to Francis Kurkdjian’s skill in composing perfumes as if they were Haute Couture gowns. So when Elie Saab, and perfumer Francis Kurkdjian decide to join their unique expertise, it gives birth to a sumptuous olfactory adventure: ‘la Collection des Essences’.

A tribute to the art of trompe l’oeil in one formula olfactory bold, essence n ° 2, Gardenia, carves a flower graceful and elegant in trompe l’oeil, born of the duality of voluptuous wood and tender flowers with delicate green and white accents.

Floral radiance of the Jasmin Sambac of Egypt, infuses a decidedly voluptuous Iris heart. Essence No. 2 delivers a stylish and sophisticated wake in a caress of sandalwood rare and precious, The bottle is exceptional, made of solid glass with a magnetic cap, all fits perfect with Elie Saab’s Haute Couture! Like most Haute Couture, wearing it, and a man will never forget you…. Ever been in Lebanon? Smelling this fragrance, and you smell the wonderful Lebanese evenings. Jasmin flower trees who let escape there smell at night…. The wonderful people you meet everywhere, and all the smiles they send you. First time smelling this fragrance, was bringing back those wonderful memories I had from my visits to that beautiful country.

For me Essance n ° 2 Gardenia, is not only an ode to one of the most beautiful countries I’ve ever been, but also an ode to the codes and the know-how of the Lebanese Couture House. All 4 fragrances (100ml, €190) are rare and presious, and majestic palazzos awaiting for them…
I completely cracked Essance n ° 2 Gardenia, femininity and an absolute delicacy in total agreement with its floral notes, chyprees and eastern. This is can be easy a perfume that you can wear on a daily basis, This is not a perfume that you should wear on a daily basis because you do not want to get used to its fragrance…. let it be an exception for an exceptional day/evening! Because of that I hope you will have a LOT of those exeptional moments, so you will always have those wonderful memories!
