One must be able to smell a woman even before seeing her

Marcel Rochas

A must-have fragrance that is voluptuous and sensual, and whose spicy-fruity-chypre accord is the quintessence of feminine seduction.

This much-loved scent was created by Edmond Roudnitska in Paris during the War in 1943 for Marcel Rochas and gave it as a present to his wife Hélène in heartfelt tribute to femininity.

Femme represents a real masterpiece with its warmth of a woman’s gentle skin and dense note of plum. Its sensual and voluptuous spicy-fruity-chypre accord is the quintessence of feminine seduction.

Rochas had had it made originally for his demure wife Hélène, the legendary Madame Rochas, before Mae become the perfume’s face and derriere.

An ode to femininity and love, Femme is a fragrance of womanly seduction whose original spicy-fruity-chypre accord with its velvety plum – used in perfumery for the first time – awakens an intense sensuality.

The original composition is based on the harmony of aldehides, fruit, wood, and musk notes. The dryness of chypre notes is softened by the purple plum. The richness of tropical fruits is followed by the rich scent of sandal. Femme Rochas is a splendid perfume which is not aimed at every person, more at a femme fatale.

In 1989 Rochas  commissioned another perfumer to reorchestrate the classic – against the wishes of its creator – and thus vulgarized a work of art. The new Rochas Femme has become lighter and more gourmand thanks to the peach note in harmony with plum.

parfum-1

A seductively scented frisson that caresses the skin, its basenotes of sandalwood, patchouli and vetiver arousing mysterious feelings, stirred even further by rose absolute, ylang and jasmine.

A deeply sensual opulence complemented by the lively crispness of lemon, neroli and bergamot, gourmand citrus notes that are warmed by spicy hints of cumin, cinnamon and cloves.

Rochas Muse de Rochas for Women

Rochas Muse de Rochas for Women ad

Maison Rochas launched a new fragrance for women, Muse de Rochas. The in-house perfumer Jean-Michel Duriez wanted to dedicate this fragrance to the founder Marcel Rochas, who gifted the famous perfume Femme Rochas to his wife Helene at the day of their wedding.

This perfume is a hymn to creation and to muses that inspire.

Jean-Michel Duriez

Jean-Michel Duriez wished to create a fragrance full of energy and motivation.

Rochas Muse de Rochas for Women is a fresh floral oriental fragrance designed to be the muse for women who seek inspiration. This lively and nice perfume opens with greens of banana leaf, bergamot, orange sap, mango and peach notes. Flowery notes of orange blossom, narcissus and cinnamon make the heart of the perfume more luring, however, the base notes of vanilla sandalwood, amber and musk make the perfume long-lasting and delightful.
