Gucci Guilty Pour Homme Eau de Parfum

The new edition of the reinvented Gucci Guilty perfume line is an intense version of the masculine fragrance Gucci Guilty Pour Homme Eau de Parfum. The celebration of freedom that the Italian fashion house pursues through the #ForeverGuilty story continues.

A retro take on the original: The new eau de parfum has been enhanced with chili pepper and fresh rose accords, which were popular men’s fragrance ingredients in the 1970s.

The composition is woody, aromatic and spicy, conceived as a provocative and modern interpretation of the 70’s fragrant ingredients. The top notes of the original that included lemon and pink pepper were replaced with rose and chili. Warm spices stand in contrast with bitter aromatic freshness, with an unexpected sensation of salt and vinegar. White flowers and the richness and intensity of the woody accords complete the composition.

The Gucci Guilty Pour Homme Eau de Parfum fragrance flacon comes in a black opaque matte finish. It is packaged in a sleek black box, accented with the house’s interlocking G logo in silver.

The whimsical campaign was shot by fashion photographer Glen Luchford and is set in a stylised laundromat. The face of the campaign is American actor Jared Leto. Jared Leto is the frontman of American rock band ’30 Seconds to Mars’ and is also known for his roles in films like ‘Suicide Squad’, ‘Requiem for a Dream’ and ‘Dallas Buyer’s Club’.

Gucci Guilty Pour Homme Eau de Parfum comes as a 50, 90 and 150ml, and is available at Gucci Boutiques and selected stores worldwide. Come into the beautiful world of Gucci.

Italian luxury label Gucci is ready to launch its brand new fragrance named Gucci Guilty Absolute. Reflecting the maison’s freedom of creative expression without limitations or boundaries, the new scent was created through an artistic partnership between Creative Director Alessandro Michele and master perfumer Alberto Morillas who has been the nose behind some of the most celebrated scents in the world, including brands such as Acqua di Parma, Bvlgari, Calvin Klein, Giorgio Armani and Penhaligons – to name a few.

Alessandro Michele told me he wanted to create a perfume that features leather from Gucci’s heritage and gave the inspiration as a tree surrounded by leather. He also told me that the price is not important, just make the most beautiful perfume.

Alberto Morillas

With that assurance, Morillas set out to create a scent that included two ground-breaking elements that has never before been used in olfactory: Wood leather, extracted from oud oil and Goldenwood, tapped from cedar wood in Alaska. Rounding off the ingredients list in Gucci’s unique leather scent is the essence of patchouli captured three ways.

The ingredients we chose are special to Gucci. It’s a new generation of oud with the use of new technology. It was my interpretation of leather, when you smell the fragrance you can smell the oud and it is a mystery because everyone smells it differently. The molecule of oud we used is unique and no one can duplicate it.

Gucci Guilty Absolute is created using a particular blend with a structure that remains unchanged from the first time it is applied to the skin. Leather accord and goldenwood are custom-mixed with natural extract of the Nootka Cypress, selected especially for Gucci Guilty Absolute. The resulting scent features ultra-dry woody notes. The fragrance’s composition is intensified with three forms of patchouli oils and earthy vetiver.

The end product is what Gucci calls both ageless and genderless, in line with Michele’s future direction for the maison and in tune with the Jared Leto starred visual campaign.

I created many different directions but when he smelt this one – sample number 25 – he immediately exclaimed that this is his perfume! Also, the Gucci advert is very intriguing because you don’t know whether it is for men or women. This particular one is made for men but I was very surprised that many ladies want it for themselves because they feel different when they wear it. This is important because we only want to create an enjoyment of wearing it.

The bottle is made from clear glass, accentuating the design lines of the original, filled with a transparent brown liquid that seems like cognac.
