Maison Guerlain’s upcoming fragrance honors cherry blossom season

Guerlain‘s new Cherry Blossom Exceptional Piece is a tribute to the fragrance created in 1999 by Jean-Paul Guerlain. Encapsulated in cherry blossom motifs, the iconic Bee flacon has become a symbol of an annual age-old tradition, in which the Japanese gather to admire cherry blossoms every spring.

French Maison Guerlain presents the annual limited edition of their Cherry Blossom perfume that celebrates springtime in Japan. Cherry Blossom 2022 Millésome is available from the start of February 2022 in a special limited edition flacon design, this time decorated with the help of French-based Japanese fine embroidery artist Kyoko Sugiura, who is no stranger to the know-hows of both her country and France.

The artist decorated the iconic ‘Bee’ flacon by hand with silver and black flowers that feature black beads. Leather petals in shades of gold, black and white adorn the flacon. Elsewhere, five-needle sewn petals are found on the flacon, a number that represents the flower.

Black pearls are subsequently embroidered with a needle to create the stamens, which are embellished with golden pearls. A ribbon rounds off the piece, which is sewn on tulle with a crocheted black thread. The black ribbon around the neck and a black label symbolize cherry blossoms that bloom at night.

The original Cherry Blossom perfume was first launched in 1999. Its composition is based on the essence of cherry blossoms with notes of green tea and almonds. It was made by Guerlain’s 4th generation perfumer Jean-Paul Guerlain, inspired by the ‘hanami’ Japanese custom of celebrating spring.

Top notes: bergamot, green tea note
Heart: cherry blossom, jasmine, lilac
Base: white musk

This years edition has remained unchanged: it is still an incredibly delicate soliflore, a child of the ’90s, which combines the sea freshness of calone, and draws the contours of a tart, bitter citrus-tea chord and the tenderness of a floral-fruity chord with sour lychee and a drop of indole. It’s as if in the distance there are mock orange blossoms. In the base, you can feel a slight powderiness of musks and almonds, which does not overshadow the fresh, transparent mood of the fragrance for a second.

Guerlain Cherry Blossom 2022 Millésime is limited to just 2,605 pieces, and it retails for €600. It will be available a 125 ml Eau de Toilette flacon at Guerlain Boutiques and selected stores worldwide, and comes with a funnel and 20ml purse spray in a white leather case. Come into the beautiful world of Guerlain.

Muguet by Guerlain once again on 1st May in a luxurious…

Every year since 2006, Muguet by Guerlain blossoms once again on May 1st (traditionally the day when muguet is offered as a porte-bonheur, a good luck charm in France)  comes in a luxurious limited edition. This event within the Exclusive Collections gives the House the opportunity to celebrate spring.

Greener, pinker, even more cheerful… Muguet 2016 by Guerlain is being reinvented with a new Eau de Toilette, a bright, refreshing homage to the lucky little bell.

The lily of the valley flower does not reveal its secrets easily. Not lending itself to extraction, its delicate scent must be recreated by the perfumer according to his poetic vision: powdery iris by Jacques Guerlain from 1908, or tinged with sun-kissed notes by Jean-Paul Guerlain in 1998.

Today, Thierry Wasser offers it a radiantly natural and modern interpretation. Fine and exuberant green notes to bring out its springlike accents. Rose beaded with dew to enhance its freshness. Subtly sensual jasmine as a reminder that reawakening nature sends the senses into a spin… Muguet exudes all the poetic vitality of a spring landscape.
Every year, the best French artisans and master craftsmen are invited to express their vision of the good-luck flower through their expertise. To celebrate the tenth anniversary of Muguet by Guerlain, a budding young Parisian jewellery house specialising in metalwork – Ambre & Louise – is offering Muguet by Guerlain its exceptional finery.

To decorate the precious 2016 Vintage, the House of Ambre & Louise has created a real jewel of a bottle: a fine chased silver-dipped plaque, which depicts a bucolic and botanical design beautifully enhancing delicate sprigs of lily of the valley. A bottle in pure and slender lines illuminates this elegant motif, against the background of a tender green fragrance.

The final touch of refinement is the lidadorned with a frosted drop bead inscribed with the House’s double Gand a neck decorated with a whit ribbon by Guerlain’s dames de table. The ultimate lucky charm, the Muguet by Guerlain plaque may also be engraved.

Guerlain will launch Le Bolshoi ‘Большой’

The Bolshoi Ballet

Thé Bolshoï (Большой) (which means ‘grand’) dates back to 1776, and has quite the history with fires — it burned down a few years after it was built, and again after it was reconstructed by architect Joseph Bove. The theater as it’s seen today dates to Alberto Cavos’ rebuild in 1856 (Cavos also built Mariinsky Theater in Saint Petersburg, Bolshoi’s rival theater) and features an eight-pillar façade, complete with a neoclassical pediment and Apollo in a horse-drawn chariot – which is the building’s symbol. With 1,700 seats, the interior is draped in red and gold, with four balconies and a gallery.

French Maison Guerlain will launch a tribute perfume named Le Bolshoi for the new legendary theater Bolshoï (Большой) in Moscow. Guerlain, which is one of their official sponsors of the restoration, will help them collect more money with the launch of a new limited-edition perfume. Despite the money they donate, Guerlain Le Bolshoi – which will appear at only 400 copies – will be the additional revenue.  On October 27, 2011 Le Bolshoi Perfume will show up at the Tsum store located at the corner of Maison Guerlain

Guerlain Le Bolshoi

Guerlain Le Bolshoi Perfume will have a harsh temper yet soft enough to warm any Russian woman. The nose behind this arresting fragrance is perfumer Jean-Paul Guerlain. Le Bolshoi Perfume blends notes of bitter orange, neroli, jasmine, petitgrain, ylang-ylang, Tonka bean, violet leaf, vanilla, white musky accords and incense.

Guerlain Le Bolshoi perfume comes in a beautiful limited-edition bottle.

Guerlain Habit Rouge L'Eau Video

The original Habit Rouge fragrance adopts the alchemy of a stylised and modern freshness. Habit Rouge L’Eau, created by Thierry Wasser, puts the finery of the classic version back in the saddle, especially its fresh facets, highlighted and underpinned by unexpected new notes.

It is a ‘softer, easy-to-wear and less contracted adaptation of the original. Delicately fresh, but with a less intense citrus opening, and a lighter base without any leather’. Wafting bitter orange notes and the botanical freshness of the hazel tree note light up the fragrance. Then, an evanescent jasmine note shines with flawless transparency, before vanilla and patchouli create an enveloping trail.

This flirtatious and intimate fragrance encompasses countless unforgettable sensations of romantic and thrilling moments, an exquisite duality between sensuality and freshness.

Guerlain Habit Rouge L’Eau is available as 100 ml Eau de Toilette.
