The beauty game changer: The new gloss

It might take you back to messy teen memories of getting your hair stuck to your lips, but modern-day glosses are made for grown-ups. A sleek, mirror-like shine not only makes you look polished, it’s also the easiest way to instantly plump lips without any needles. Whether a super-sheer slick or an intense lacquer, the latest formulas come in non-sticky, clean finishes.

Sheer glosses are pretty for everyday wear, and with an increasing demand for instant lip volume (there are literally millions of Google results on ‘how to get bigger lips’) even lip oils and balms – whether tinted or clear – are infused with plumping peptides or a glazed finish. Remember the Time! If you were a teenage girl in the 2000s, you probably scrimped and saved (or begged your parents) to get the iconic Lancôme Juicy Tubes Lip Glosses.

After all, super-shiny lip glosses in all colours of the rainbow were one of the defining beauty trends of the decade, in a time when matte lips weren’t even an idea yet. So we collected as many Juicy Tubes as our teenage selves could afford and wore the shiny and sometimes glittery fruit-flavoured lip colours with pride, with the knowledge that we had just gained entry into the world of grown-up makeup.

An exclusive edition of the powder with white and sparkling silicone sleeve. For me the most surprising in the collection was the availability of bronzing powder in snow case. Perhaps there is a certain logic. Speaking the truth, I myself long ago renounced colored blush, bronzers performs this role (and a hint of light sculpting program), vobschem Guerlain surprised, it turned out.

The formula of the Maxi Velvet is a creamy and ultra-matte texture with a strong color impact (shade and formula similar to the Rouge G L’extrait M65 PARESS). It’s perfect for sophisticated look this season. On the other hand, Gloss d’Enfer is formulated with a glittered transparent white colour, intended to be applied as a top coat.

Chanel Les Automnales Fall 2015 Makeup Collection

Chanel presents its new makeup collection, which is designed to complement its haute couture collection for Fall 2015. As you can see, the lovely autumnal range is inspired by the change of the seasons. Instead of the bright, summery shades, the Fall collection is all about warm, earthy tones evocative of deciduous woodlands, forest fruits, and mud. The collection focuses on eye makeup, with its new limited edition Chanel Entrelacs Palette, Les 4 Ombres in seasonal hues, and full range of eye and brow pencils.

The collection premiers on August 2015. In addition to Chanel’s official website and its worldwide counters, the Fall collection will also available for purchase selected stores.

Chanel Entrelacs Palette is a new limited edition set of high-quality eye shadows in neutral, earthy tones, ranging from shimmering white and light brown, to chestnut, deep brown, and creamy beige, distinct colors to celebrate the autumn months. A real must-have!

Chanel Les 4 Ombres is available in a color harmony named ‘254 Tisse D’automne’. It includes four versatile shades: green, khaki, copper, pink gold with a creamy pearl texture.

MAC Cosmetics x Giambattista Valli Lipstick Collection

I love sharing news of fab new MAC Cosmetics partnerships and product launches and I’m totes excited to give you the tea on the brand’s latest drool-worthy collaboration with the luxurious Italian fashion designer Giambattista Valli!

MAC is always pushing the envelope when it comes to really giving us something to look forward to with their fashion-forward product lines, and they are giving us all kinds of aesthetic goodness with five new matte shades.

I started working with MAC almost 10 years ago and since the beginning they understood and supported my vision as a designer. To celebrate this long standing relationship we thought it would be great to create a collection that was one-of-a-kind, more of a collector’s edition! I’m known for my dresses and with this collection you can dress your lips in Giambattista Valli.
