It was in 1898 , that the amazing Lampe Berger story started. In response to a major preoccupation at that time – a sepsis in hospitals – Maurice Berger, a pharmaceutical dispenser, invented a system of diffusion by catalysis, for which he filed a patent. This revolutionary technology, which purifies the air in enclosed rooms, was soon to be applied for private use , giving birth to the Lampe Berger company.
The little lamp which destroys bad smells saw its apogee during the1930s: fragrance provided the dimension of pleasure; the Lampe Berger became a collector’s item, each lamp being associated with a designer and major manufacturer such as Cristal de Baccarat, Cristalleries de Saint Louis, Emile Gallé, René Lalique, and then the top porcelain producers of the 1950s… Adopted by leading figures of the world of Arts and royals The Begum Om Habibeh Aga Khan, Coco Chanel, Jean Cocteau, Colette or Picasso each had their own Lampe Berger.
Since then the French Maison has always continued to develop and reinvent itself in order to be more than ever present for people living in the 21st century. Maison Berger, in collaboration with German fashion house Lolita Lempicka, presents for this occasion a special limited collection which coincides with the celebration of twenty years of Mon Premier Parfum, the first fragrance launched by Lolita Lempicka.
On the great occasion of the anniversaries of Maison Berger and Lolita Lempicka, the collection brings together the magic of the two houses, zooming in on the Lolita Lempicka fragrance and its delicate details. The collection has the appearance of the recognizable Lotita Lempicka flacons, reflecting the beauty and the fairytale world of Lolita Lempicka’s fragrances and her style.
The modern interpretation of an apple with its stylisch facets is a perfect replica of the original flacon and available in violet and in a clear transparent version. What draws attention are the calligraphic details in the color of gold and the leaves of ivy that decorate the packaging. The delicate ivy leaves are one of Lolita Lempicka’s emblems, visible here in the cut out pattern of the satin gold metak mounting.

It all begins with fresh notes of star anise note and the pungency of ivy leaves,. But it soon gives gives way to a promise of sweetness with an oriental and sensual bouguet of licorice notes. The heart continues the sweetness and becomes enriched with floral notes; violet leaves provides elegance, while precious iris confers delicasy. The base, consisting of tonka bean, cistus, caramel and creamy wood, adds even more more sweetness and senuality to the whole.
