Givenchy unveils its new Extravagancia makeup collection

Launching in September, Givenchy has released a sneak peak at its new Autumn/Winter 14 makeup collection, with Mariacarla Boscono modelling the latest shimmering shades.

The latest luxurious beauty offerings from Givenchy will have you shimmering with the limited edition Extravagancia Palette and new gel blush formula.

The delicate black and gold palette holds 4 eyeshadows in brown, violet, dark silver and gold, as well as a rosy lip color and two applicators. Another highlight of the Extravagancia collection will be the limited edition pink blush with a gel formula, leaving your skin flawless with its smooth texture.

There is also new eye products as Noir Couture Volume Mascara and liner in shades of black or deep purple will be the newest products in the eye department, while for the lips Givenchy presents Rose Extravagant and Poupre Inoui.

The stylish collection will also feature two new nail lacquers in glitter gold and sparkling grey shades.

Mariacarla Boscono stars in Givenchy’s new beauty campaign


Nicolas Degen, creative director of Givenchy make-up, presents new products including ‘Poudre Première’, a single-coloured powder suitable for all skin types, ranging from light to very dark, which offers a light transparent layer. The new powder promises to look just as good applied over foundation as it does on bare skin without make-up.

Aside from ‘Poudre Première’, Givenchy has updated its popular powder ‘Prisme Libre’, which was first established in 2006, with a more transparent offering and texture.


The stunning face of the campaign is Italian model Mariacarla Boscono, who has previously worked for Givenchy with a role as the face of the fragrance ‘Dahlia Noir’, and continues to use her natural.

Daniel Jackson captures Mariacarla in the ethereal ad, where she poses gracefully against powder suspended in mid-air. Definitely one of the best Givenchy beauty ads yet!

French Maison Givenchy releases a new feminine and alluring perfume with a fresh and pure aroma, Dahlia Noir L’Eau. Givenchy Dahlia Noir L’Eau is the new flanker to Givenchy Dahlia Noir introduced in 2011. The new perfume encompasses a deep feminine sensuality, kindness and affection. It preserves the same bottle shape as the original perfume, yet this time the stopper is made of silver and the flavor is greenish – a peaceful and fresh color symbolizing revitalization, purity and softness.




Givenchy Dahlia Noir L’Eau is an elegant and modern fragrance composed of dangerous black dahlia flower along with crystal citruses and neroli and rose petals. The base enchants with patchouli, cedar and musky notes. The perfume is composed by Francois Demachy and is advertised by the same gorgeous model Mariacarla Boscono – who has also advertised other editions.

Givenchy Dahlia Noir L’Eau will be available in three sizes, 50, 95 and 125ml Eau de Toilette.

The Black Dahlia was the name given to actress Elizabeth Short, a young American actress who was brutally murdered and mutilated in 1947. The crime was never solved. And the gruesome case inspired attention both on the big and small screen.

Maison Givenchy is launching a new fragrance for women, Dahlia Noir. Compelling then that designer Riccardo Tisci chose the name for his debut fragrance at the house of Givenchy. Created by Francois Demachy, the new fragrance embodies elegance, seduction and a touch of pure subtleness. Givenchy Dahlia Noir has a floral composition, is very intense and with sensual notes that constantly lure. Dahlia Noir also named as a ‘Fatal Flower’ is designed to delight all mysterious women and to melt their hearts.

Givenchy’s Dahlia Noir has a chypre floral composition. Perfume opens with mandarin, mimosa and pink pepper notes along with heart notes of rose, patchouli and iris. Dahlia Noir calms on the skin with long-lasting motes of vanilla, sandalwood and Tonka bean.



To personify the perfume’s dark beauty, Tisci chose Italian model Mariacarla Boscono, a model he has worked with for several years, ever since their shared student days at Central Saint Martins School in London. In fact, she has been the face of Givenchy’s ads since 2005.

The Dahlia Noir campaign – print images by Mert & Marcus, and the Dahlia Noir ad film, which was directed by Fabien Baron – Boscono wears black-leather-and-silk Givenchy couture. As her raven-black hair and the black chiffon of her gown dance in the current of Baron’s wind machine, she personifies Tisci’s vision, a windswept flower in some dark and brooding dream.
