Precious Cartier La Panthère Parfum

Cartier-La-Panthère-Parfum-Banner-01

French Maison Cartier is famed for its panther motif, present on its jewelry, accessories and fragrance works, symbolizing femininity, mystery and elegance. This was repeated with the launch in 2014 of La Pantère, and now, next month, the Maison presents a new version of that iconic perfume: La Panthère Parfum. A ‘feline-floral’ perfume of gardenia enriched with osmanthus, bringing hints of apricot, and patchouli with chypre tones.

With La Panthère Parfum, Cartier’s in-house perfumer Mathilde Laurent created a richer and more intense interpretation of this contemporary chypre perfume. Gardenia, as the dominant floral note of the composition, has been explored and highlighted in a new way, and warmed by the shades of apricot stemming from the osmanthus flower. The perfumer doubled the musk and softened the chypre character to evoke the depth and softness of a panther’s fur.

Not only for Pasha’s Cartier Pasha Parfum

Thami-El-Glaoui-Pasha-of-Marrakesh-71Ia3-iQqaL._AC_SL1500_

As one of the world’s leading luxury watch brands, Cartier boasts an impressive assortment of iconic designs. There’s the Santos watch, made originally for Brazilian pioneer aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont, the Tank watch, fashioned after the military armored vehicle and the Panthere watch with an instantly recognizable link bracelet, just to name a few. Another famous Cartier watch is the Pasha, created for the Pasha of Marrakesh.

In the early 20th century, parts of Morocco was a protectorate of France. During this time, Thami El Glaoui, the Pasha of Marrakesh (above) aligned himself with the French. As a result, he amassed great wealth (mostly from questionable practices) during his time in power, and by some accounts, he was one of the richest men in the world. His personal style and charm, as well as his prodigality with his wealth, made him many friends among the international fashionable set of the day. He visited the European capitals often. He counted people like Charlie Chaplin, Colette and Winston Churchill as friends and hosted them in his Marrakesh – a city he invested in extravagantly to beautify with palaces, golf courses, hotels, and lavish gardens. He treated his European guests to lavish banquets and offered them expensive gifts.

In the early ’30s, the Pasha of Marrakesh commissioned a watch from the French Maison. Aside for a penchant for the finer things in life, the Pasha was also an active man. So he requested that his Cartier watch be elegant, yet capable of being submerged during his regular swims and daily bathing, without having to worry about its functionality or precision. It is considered to be the first waterproof timepiece from Cartier. Water resistant watches were still a new concept during this era (remember the Rolex Oyster only made its debut in 1926).

Cartier-Pasha-18k-1985-02Cartier Pasha 18k yellow gold, 1985 (private collection).

However, Louis Cartier did build the Pasha a solid gold water-resistant round watch. The custom Cartier was fitted with screw-down caseback, a chain-secured cap protecting the winding crown, and a protective grid on top of the face. In 1943, the timepiece was introduced into the official Cartier collection. In 1985, the legendary watch designer Gérald Genta designed a version of the Cartier Pasha whose form is still celebrated to this day. Throughout the years, a number of models under the name Pasha de Cartier have been presented, and, as a result, an overwhelming selection of new and used Pasha timepieces can be discovered today.

While the fate of Thami El Glaoui’s Cartier watch is unknown, according to a 2003 Robb Report article, Stanislas de Quercize, the President and CEO of Cartier North America at that time, confirmed that Cartier is actively looking for the watch to add to its corporate collection.

Later the French Maison created the Pasha Collection. A collection of cufflinks, luxury writing instruments, lighters and perfumes. Like their jewels and watches, They all are a signature of unique taste in fine accessories. A signature of pure elegance.

Cartier-Pasha-Parfum-Flacon

Also named after the iconic watch, the French Maison introduced in 1992 Pasha de Cartier, a beautiful, classic fougere fragrance for men. Created by Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, the now legenday fragrance had top notes of lavender, mandarin, mint, caraway and anise. The middle notes are coriander, and Brazilian rosewood. And base notes of labdanum, sandelwood, patchouli and oakmoss. A timeless classic. In its collection Cartier also offers several versions of the first perfume. In addition to Edition Noire (a modern fougere with green and citrus notes, amber, and cedar) and Edition Noire Sport (an energetic fougere with citrus, marine accords, and cedar), the new, contemporary and intense version, Pasha de Cartier Parfum , is available from February 2020.

Pasha de Cartier Parfum is designed for contemporary and elegant men – to those who want to be noticed. It is adorned with epithets such as being bold, sophisticated, and powerful. The fragrance is a modern version of the original in a parfum concentration that provides additional depth, intensity, and lasting permanence.

Created by the Maison’s in-house perfumer Mathilde Laurent, the contemporary fougere composition with woody and ambery features includes notes of patchouli, sandalwood, fir balsam, labdanum, benzoin, ambrocenide molecule, and tonka bean. Mathilde tried to preserve the characteristic aromatic base of the original Pasha fragrance in this creation, but make it new with woody and amber notes using the best ingredients from around the world.

When creating a new version of the iconic perfume, special attention was paid to the design of the flacon. Named and inspired by the iconic Pasha watch, the design of the flacon was really inspired on Pasha cufflinks and luxury writing instruments, with a blue sapphire cabochon, a unique Cartier symbol. It also features other iconic Cartier hallmarks including the Trinity ring, gadroons, and the famous red box.

When you focus on designs with diamonds and other precious gems, and have princesses and actresses commissioning special works with serpents, tigers, and other exotic animals – you know you’re dealing with one of the world’s most luxurious brands!

Cartier-les-heures-voyageuses-oud-and-menthe-eau-de-parfum_000000000006349887

Cartier’s Les Heures Voyageuses collection brings together emotive notes for the senses. Mathilde Laurent, Cartier’s much-esteemed in-house perfumer, has just created a brand new scent to join the French Maison’s Les Heures Voyageuses high perfumery collection. And it’s inspired by the Middle East, no less.

Cartier Les Heures Voyageuses Oud & Menthe ‘prolongs the enchantment with a daring, devastating combination of oud wood and mint’, according to a release. Oud & Menthe celebrates the allure and rarity of the woody ingredient, the Oud & Menthe Eau de Parfum is invigorated with mint, combining and contrasting two emblematic scents from the Middle East. By combining the seemingly opposite ingredients, the fragrance ‘softens the raw sensations of the mint and the oud, a sugary and suave infusion with a breath of plant-like freshness from the mint’.

Top notes: Mint
Base: Oud wood

Cartier Les Heures Voyageuses Oud & Menthe is available as 75ml Eau de Parfum. The captivating scent is now available Cartier boutiques across the Middle East and at Harrods. In the lead-up to Ramadan, this could well be the perfect gift for your loved one (or yourself?).

Cartier Carat

Carat Cartier for women banner

French ‘Haute Joaillier’ Cartier introduces a new breath-taking perfume for women, Cartier Carat. Cartier Carat perfume is all about a precious and luxurious perfume, just like a priceless diamond. A lot of perfumes are released each day, but not all of them deserve to be bought or even smelled. The French Maison is always delighting and seducing its wearers with must-have fragrances that are simply irresistible and tempting.

Mathilde Laurent wanted to create a perfume that would shine equally, lively and intense as diamonds do.

Cartier Carat is created by the in-house perfumer Mathilde Laurent as a powdery/floral perfume with floral hints to make it very sensual, daring, and modern. A flower full of life. An explosion of pleasure and freshness with molecules of joy loaded with crystalline energy. To accomplish this, Mathilde Laurent desided to imitate an optical phoneme that is characteristic of diamonds: diffration of color. So she choose seven different fresh flowers that, when combined, formed a new, abstract flower.

The composition represents the colors of a rainbow in the form of flowers, violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow. It opens with seductive ylang-ylang along with floral accords of violet, iris, and hyacinth calmed with sweet honeysuckle and aromatic spring tulips.

L’Envol de Cartier: Taking Flight

cartier-lenvol-feature.jpg

This must be what the Gods of Olympus smell like, at least according to Mathilde Laurent and French luxury Maison Cartier. The in-house perfumer for Cartier has come up with the brand’s first men’s cologne, L’Envol de Cartier, in eight years and it is set to take everyone to greater heights. To create the scent is to bring to life an idea so that everyone can share it, according to Laurent. She shares that the fragrance was inspired by the exploration of self, where one has to overcome fears and have courage.

Mathilde Laurent Cartier.jpg

Mathilde Laurent created a beautiful fragrance. L’Envol de Cartier reminds of the freedom and passion of one of the Maison’s greatest legends, the aviator Santos-Dumont, who leaves a legacy of victory, awakening the passion of the memory lovers through a dedicated fragrance to masculinity

The main ingredient for the fragrance stems from ambrosia, a food that was consumed by the Greek gods conferring them with immortality and longevity. Of course, ambrosia doesn’t exist so Laurent had her work cut out for her. With accents of honey, wood, patchouli and musk, the eau de parfum is said to be strong yet not overpowering.

  • Top: Honey accord.
  • Middle: Musk.
  • Base: Guaiac wood, Patchouli

In a nutshell, the fragrance is perfect for those who like to smell good without making a statement, as if that is their natural scent.

A design breakthrough, the bottle contains a capsule encased in a refillable detachable glass dome

Cartier could have gone all out to seal the honey-colored scent in a complicated and artistic bottle. Instead, the firm chose one that was unique yet not over-the-top, much like the fragrance. Stored in a glass capsule, the fragrance is covered by a detachable dome that helps to capture and reflect light as it shines through the bottle. The idea behind the bottle, comes from having to protect something precious The refillable bottle also features the brand’s signature guilloche motif on the metal filligreed top. The result of the thought and care that goes into creating l’Envol de Cartier is a fragrance that is fuss-free and invigorating for anyone who wears it.

L’Envol de Cartier1.jpg

The L’Envol bottle showcases Cartier’s glassware expertise, retaining Cartier’s timeless aesthetic with elements from their famous guilloché motif on the bottle stopper.

L’Envol de Cartier2.jpg

Once again, the traditional design and the characteristic guilloché finish of Cartier is reflected in each of the bottle’s details, giving life to one of the most representative fragrances of the brand. Finally the savoir-faire of the dome, makes of this bottle the main object to keep as a unique perfume.

The L’Envol de Cartier fragrance come with three bodyproducts. Shower Gel and Deodorant Stick. But also a beautiful dry-oil, this years holy grail, for face and beard.

Cartier Summer Blue

Eau de Cartier, a collection of Eaux for him and for her, so that each can sense the constant presence of the other. An Eau with a clear freshness, an ode to simplicity. The olifactory promise of the credo of this Eau, glimmers beyond the purity of a aquamarine colored bottle.

Cartier Eau de Cartier Vétiver Bleu

An Eau de Cartier infused with the the raw, elegant energy of vertiver root essence, wich crystallises its power into a fragrance that is manifestly intense. A rush of lightning, or more like a caress? The rough and elegant vetiver roots’ energy crystalizes the power of the Eau de Cartier. Vertiver Bleu combines both the mint freshness and the woody aromas’ warmth.

Its composition unites the beauty of shades of vertiver and icy cold aromas of mint while playing with cold herbal essences and warm, deep woody notes. A vetiver with multiple facets, covering the skin of emotions with its smoky facets. The vertiver aromas include its smoky face so the composition incorporates also accords of liquorice. Mint brings a crystalline, airy note as the vetiver with its smoky facets warms to the skin, grounding the power of the Eau.

Eau de Cartier Vétiver Bleu

The menthol accent of youth immediatly produces a thermol shock, where warm and cool collide. A breath of icy lightness calm the dry heat of fertile ground, ripened with woody aromas blended with with liquorice. This is where the vertiver thrives, and Eau de Cartier Vertiver Blue preserves the classicism of this cult root of masculine fragrance.

A contrasting and subtile vertiver, with smoked elements, more manly then unisex, that envelop the skin with deep and soft emotions, tempered by wholly crystalline, rough freshness. Created by Mathilde Laurent, the olfactory promise of the credo of this perfume glimmers beyond the purity of a aquamarine colored bottle.

Eau de Cartier Vertiver Blue is available as 50, 100 and 200ml Eau de Toilette.

Must de Cartier Gold

Must de Cartier

Over thirty years after the very inception of Must de Cartier, the Maison’s In-House Perfumer Mathilde Laurent has worked with Givaudan, the fragrance company that created the original Must de Cartier in 1981, to concoct an Eau de Parfum. Must was composed.

Must was composed in 1981 by perfumer Jean-Jacques Diener as a green Oriental Eau de Toilette. An innovation in the early 80’s, Must was the first ever green oriental essence, while the jewel-like refillable bottle was also the first of its kind. In another first, Cartier debuted the concept of the perfume launch in a spectacular event featuring a disco dance show and fireworks, attended by an unprecedented gathering of the international jet set, all set against the backdrop of a giant perfume bottle – at Château de Versailles, no less.

Must de Cartier captured incomparable freshness in an oriental fragrance with the very green note of galbanum. Marked by a heavy presence of jasmine and vanilla underpinned with the galbanum, Must de Cartier was an olfactory shockwave that shook up the very boundaries of the fragrance world.

Must de Cartier -

Must de Cartier Gold Eau de Parfum is a real beautiful variation on jasmine with the joyous intensity of osmanthus stirring up the legendary sensuality of the Must de Cartier fragrance. A sensuous oriental fragrance with a delicate sweet fruitiness, it is the dazzling reintrepretation of the original, legendary Must de Cartier perfume, that pulses with the decadence of sparkling floral notes of jasmine, blackcurrant bud and a colourful burst of osmanthus.
  • Top notes: Galbanum and green leaves
  • Middle notes: Jasmine and osmanthus
  • Base note is vanilla
Tastefully updated by Cartier, the famous gadroons of the original bottle are now the dominant feature in the original oval bottle, which glows like never before.
