French Maison Givenchy was founded by Count Hubert de Givenchy in 1952. The house established a reputation for its unique blend of French elegance and American glamour embodied particularly in the look the look of actress Audrey Hepburn. Hubert de Givenchy created a beautiful personal wardrobe for the actress as well as creating costumes for her film roles.

The Maison’s chic fashions were favored by many celebrities n th 1960’s. With the succes of fashions, the French Maison started in 1957, Parfums Givenchy. Their first fragrance was L’Interdit, inspired by their most famous client, Audrey Hepburn and their first men’s scent, Monsieur de Givenchy fas launched in 1959.

The first Givenchy Gentleman, created by perfumer Paul Leger, was out in 1974 when its founder, Hubert de Givenchy, stoked masculine elegance with the woodsy aromatic fragrance Givenchy Gentleman. Last year the classic Givenchy Gentleman fragrance receives a completeely new, modernized reinterpretation under the name of Gentleman Givenchy, a woody, fougere, floral fragrance created by Oliver Cresp and Nathalie Lorson wich seeks to showcase how this fragrance would be if it was only made today.

Now one year after the launch of the modern version of Gentleman Givenchy comes out its new Eau de Parfum edition. Again composed by famous perfumers as Olivier Cresp and Nathalie Lorson, Gentleman Givenchy Eau de Parfum is more energetic, lively, meant to please longstanding fans of the existing Gentlemen franchise. The composition is made of patchouli, precious iris, black pepper and sweet black vanilla note. The new perfume promises to be more ‘free and a bit more audacious’, coming in a classic black design bottle with white colored logo.

British actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson the face of the new Gentleman Givenchy Eau de Parfum. According to Romain Spitzer, Givenchy Parfums chief executive officer, the casting of Taylor-Johnson as the new Givenchy Gentleman reflects a  cool and sexy archetype whose masculinity doesn’t preclude sensitivity or generosity’. The press release describes him as having the ‘effortless elegance of the modern-day dandy’.

Yves Saint Laurent is one of my favorite brands that crafts thrilling, daring and sensual perfumes. Men and women. This year, the brand presents a new limited edition perfume Black Opium Pure Illusion – a new interpretation of the iconic brands Black Opium perfume from 2014. The original version is very intense and elegant, while the new updated versions are more freshly, airy, flowery and sensual.

Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Floral Shock, which was launched early this year, became one of my favorites in my wish list perfumes. It has a breathtaking, elegant, yet moderate and freshly, at the end, aroma making my day joyful and pleasant due to this scent.

Bentley Momentum’s bottle design is inspired by New York’s soaring, vertical skyline. Tall, rectangular and faceted, it is made of luxuriously heavy glass. The rounded metal stopper is entirely embossed with Bentley’s signature knurling. The same knurling motif also adorns the top and sides of the box to complete the look.

Amethyst is a feminine perfume by Lalique. This beautiful exclusive scent was launched in 2007 and the fragrance was created by perfumer Nathalie Lorson.

Of course, Lalique itself is the designer of the bottle, and it was inspired by René Lalique’s objects for bathroom, Epines (‘Thorns’) designed in 1920. The bottle describes the scent very well, if i could give this smell a colour it would be ‘purple’ of course. The crystal bottle for the perfume extract carries crystal blackberries on the top and is clothed in seductive…. purple.

Honestly, I’m not a fan of modern floral and fruity fragrances (mostly they are too artificial). But Lalique Amethyst is one of the most surprising fruity perfumes, surprising in its longevity. I thought the top notes of fruit would disappear, but they stuck around and overshadowed the floral heart. It smells a little bit like grape bubblegum, but not in an off-putting way and isn’t saccharine like other perfumes with similar fruit notes. The blackberry and blackcurrant are prominent and eventually dissipate into a slightly soapy, clean musk drydown. Amethyst also seems versatile in that it can definitely be layered with other perfumes that have stronger drydowns and are woodier in nature

I love the smell of pure black current in the top notes. It’s so fresh and juicy,- simply wonderful! The heart beats with the accords of intoxicating rose spiced with pepper, peony, lily and sweet, floral ylang-ylang. The base is powdery and soft with Bourbon vanilla and sensual musk.

Amethyst has become my signature scent. I should confess that it’s a very sophisticated perfume, not provocative nor sexy, but concentrates on mind not body. This fragrance have much personality, and definitively confirm the very good taste of Nathalie Lorson. . Men and women alike are very attracted to this wonderful scent. Very nice everyday-scent.
