French Maison Nina Ricci launches a new limited edition perfume L’Air du Ciel new flanker to the fashion’s house iconic perfume L’Air du Temps. The new perfume has a gorgeous colorful perfume inspiring a rainbow and spring feelings.

Pink of orange tainted rays mingle in the blue sky and the soft whiteness of the clouds. The azure becomes metamorphoses while daytime gradually gives way to the night, The sparkle of the sun imperceptibly declines into a caress of light. The evening breeze tones down the heart of the afternoon.

For this exceptional edition, the famous L’Air du Temps flacon, originally designed by Lalique, has quite naturally taken the on the colors of a sunset. The glass doves have perched on a whirl of celestial tones; a shading of lacquered pink, yellow and blue shades evoke the final hours of the day. Meanwhile, a ring provides a final touch of luminosity.

 

 

Created by perfumers Louise Turner and Natalie Cetto, L’Air du Ciel expresses all the sensations of dusk, the freshness of the atmosphere, the softness of the ambient light, the warm caress of of the last rays of the sun.

Nina Ricci L’Air du Ciel opens to impress fresh bergamot, mandarin seasoned with orange blossom calmed with sweet notes of honey, bitter almond, tonka beans, and white musk. Finally ‘a cloud of cottony white musk is floating into the sillage of this perfume, which creates the feeling of touching the sky’.

 

I don’t know how many of you, but I am fed up with this winter – I am so eager for spring, for sunny days, for light outfits, and this perfume as if reminds me of fresh aromas and positive feelings.

French Maison Nina Ricci was founded by Italian born Maria ‘Nina’ Ricci in 1932. Maria was known for her vèry elegant, feminine gowns. Nina Ricci’s first fragrance Coeur Joie, was introduced, just after the second world war, in 1946. The perfume was presented in a beautiful crystal flacon, with an ‘open’ heart, handmade by Lalique. Created by Lalique, the flacon, like other previous editions a true collectors item, is eye-catching and very attractive. This time the signature handmade crystal pigeon wings are adorned with gorgeous silk pongee flowers of three different colors. Peace and freedom: Nina Ricci L’Air du Temps Parfum by Lalique

L’air du Temps  was created in 1949, when Nina Ricci’s son Robert sought to expand the house’s business into perfumery after their first succesful fragrance, Coeur Joie . Sinds then a true golden classic, L’air du Temps is a rare creation that transends the changes of time. Yes this is an old fragrance, but it is one that is truely ageless!! In its original production, the perfume was contained in a bottle designed by Rene Lalique.

This fine fragrance has delicate topnote blends of jasmine and gardenias nestled in basenotes of sandalwood and iris. I find this romantic scent that is well blended and wears long. May not be for everyone, but do not pass up a chance to at least try it out

In the famous Lalique bottle it’s availble in several sizes: 7,5ml 15m and 29ml as perfume, and 1250ml as Eau de Toilette. Over the years, many (precious) limited editions appeared, designed by Lalique, and are now true collectors items.

The L’Air du Temps L’Ecrin des Colombes Exclusive Edition pays tribute to L’Air Temps’s unique heritage and is all about French excellence and know-how, bringing together two renowned Maisons, Maison Lalique and Atelier Lognon, highlighting a mastery of gestures and specific rhythms, in a suspended time, these very moments when the magic of creation happens.

Nina Ricci L’Air Du Temps, known for its famous dove topper, its representation of peace. The new L’Air Du Temp crystal bottle has been made in a series of 74 pieces together with French lifestyle brand and crystal-maker Lalique and Lognon Workshop. The original L’Air Du Temps, also by Lalique, was first launched in 1948.

The new fragrance comes in a limited-edition bottle design, which will feature a beautiful handmade coffret to encase the bottle, as the house did in 1951. A video featuring the two bottles side-by-side has been released on social media. The 90-second video shows (below) the creation of both the yellow coffret, like a bird cage, and the Lalique-made decanter for L’Air Du Temp.

The fragrance will carry notes of jasmine, gardenia and spicy carnation and pink pepper. Each bottle is also individually numbered and engraved by hand while the signature crystal bottle and doves have been buffed with pure gold.
