Created by Oliver Cresp, Dora Baghriche and Harry Fremont, the top notes of the composition depict the beginning of love, the middle notes describe the burning love, while the base notes reflect the feeling of infatuation portrayed as romantic love pleasure.

The sweetness of red fruit (strawberry and raspberry) combined with the rich, fruity notes of pears and juicy citruses (orange, mandarin, and bergamot) are cooled by the Calone molecule, which reproduces light, watery, and airy aromas with hints of watermelon in the opening of the composition.

Datura flower dominates the heart’s white bouquet combined of peonies, orange blossom, and Chinese and Sambac jasmine, while the base creates the rich blend of patchouli heart, Indonesian patchouli leaves, white musk, ambroxan, cedar, moss, and vanilla, intensifying its chypre character.

French Maison Givenchy was founded by Count Hubert de Givenchy in 1952. The house established a reputation for its unique blend of French elegance and American glamour embodied particularly in the look the look of actress Audrey Hepburn. Hubert de Givenchy created a beautiful personal wardrobe for the actress as well as creating costumes for her film roles.

The Maison’s chic fashions were favored by many celebrities n th 1960’s. With the succes of fashions, the French Maison started in 1957, Parfums Givenchy. Their first fragrance was L’Interdit, inspired by their most famous client, Audrey Hepburn and their first men’s scent, Monsieur de Givenchy fas launched in 1959.

The composition is made of patchouli, precious iris, black pepper and sweet black vanilla note. British actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson the face of the new Gentleman Givenchy Eau de Parfum. According to Romain Spitzer, Givenchy Parfums chief executive officer, the casting of Taylor-Johnson as the new Givenchy Gentleman reflects a  cool and sexy archetype whose masculinity doesn’t preclude sensitivity or generosity’. The press release describes him as having the ‘effortless elegance of the modern-day dandy’.

Even though, the previous editions didn’t mix roses inside of the composition, this time Yves Saint Laurent decided to please and surprise its wearers with a dose of rose accords inside of the perfume. It opens with a citrusy aroma made of raspberry, bergamot, delicious litchi, mandarin, and grapefruit along with floral accords of white peony, roses, rosebud, and orange blossom. The base calms on a woody layer made of patchouli, white musk, cashmeran, and ambrox.

Valentino launches Middle East-inspired Valentina Rosa Assoluto fragrance

The Italian fashion house of Valentino has launched its Valentina Rosa Assoluto fragrance to the region, a warm and earthy rose-infused scent, which was directly inspired by the Middle East.

Puig Valentino, the fragrance company under the Valentina fashion house umbrella first presented its new signature fragrance ‘Valentina’ back in 2011, embellished with flowers on the flacon of the bottle – a gentle and romantic blend of white flowers, luminous citruses and a sensual, warm finish.

One year later, Valentina received a more intense successor named ‘Valentina Assoluto’, which enhanced the floral infusion and provided a more intoxicating and warmer character to the edition. The collection was then expanded with new versions presented in 2013 – the fresh and luminous ‘Valentina Acqua Floreale’ and an oriental edition inspired by the popular oud, ‘Valentina Oud Assoluto’ in a black flacon with a black flower.

Innovative and unique, it is the first men’s fragrance from Mercedes-Benz and it combines woody notes with floral freshness.
