Orange blossom, Mimosa, Jasmine and Neroli perfumes are among my favorites, they reminds me of the great times I had in the Middle-East and the south of France, especially at Yakymour. In particular Neroli, due to its sweet but not overwhelming aroma, as well as greenly and spicy at the same time. When a perfume relates to a certain note – this means an expensive aroma with natural and rare ingredients.
Cap Neroli ‘on the French Riviera’ is a tribute to the bitter-orange cultivation of the Côte d’Azure. I imagined the scent of a point of land running into the sea and having the sweet name of Cape Neroli.

This Eau de Toilette is a three-act play performed in a natural setting, like an open-air theatre perched on a hill plunging into the Mediterranean. The overture is a ballet of citrus enhanced with rosemary and mint, while a prelude of bitter-orange petitgrain essence heralds the arrival on stage of the majestic Neroli flower. Small in stature but powerful in scent, this radiant bloom is escorted by a bouquet of jasmine, ylang-ylang, and Eau de Brouts which comes together in a delicate-paced choreography. Oakmoss, plus a hint of musk and amber, provide a finale like a bottle cast into the sea with an intoxicating message inside.
Though the aromas of neroli, orange blossom and citruseshave been employed in numerous previous offerings from Parfums de Nicolaï, fans of the French Maison might recall 1989’s Cologne Sologne as the only other fragrance of the brand to specifically focus on these notes. As such this new launch is a welcome addition to the brands line-up. The perfume house also offers a similarly themed candle and a soap named, Fleur d’Oranger, as well as a pillow mist named Brume d’Oreiller
