After last year’s debut of Rochas Girl, French Maison Rochas launched a new limited edition flanker: Girl Blooming. Girl Blooming Edition Eau De Toilette is a magnificent floral bouquet. A fragrance to feel pure joy and positivity.

Composed by Paul Guerlain of IFF, a grandson of the famous Jean-Paul Guerlain, Rochas Girl Blooming is an ode to nature and joie de vivre, this vegan, 90% naturally derived Eau de Toilette is gifted with the ability to awaken the senses and spark joy. While remaining a citrus woody floral, Girl Blooming is fresher, with citruses in the top and citrus flowers in the heart of the composition.

An eco-conscious flacon

A partly recycled plastic cap sits on top of a bottle made in France from 40% PCR recycled glass, obtained from collected household glass, to reduce the carbon footprint of production and lower water usage. Its water-based lacquer and ink stamping generate energy savings of 30% and 50% respectively.

The tender green colour of the packaging and flacon blossoms and bursts with delicate white flowers. Yet, the delicate floral pattern still leaves a strong impression, promising a palette of positive sensations.

Early Spring, French Maison Rochas will presents its new fragrance called ‘Girl’ (Get In the Real Life) as an environmentally responsible project, from the juice to the packaging. Girl is the scent of a new generation conscious and attentive to its well-being. Because the world is changing, Girl is more environmentally friendly with a vegan formula and with an eco-designed flacon.

Feeling better is good and Feeling really good is even better! Be ready for a new fragrance that is good for you and safer for the planet.

Created by Anne Flipo, IFF master perfumer, it stands as an ode to well-being and freedom with a vegan formula, composed of 90% ingredients of natural origin, which produces a calming effect thanks to a neroli extract with proven relaxing properties by neuroscience. A precious ingredient, 100% natural, obtained in a responsible and fully traceable way, to feel good.

Anne Flipo created the floral-woody and citrusy composition with the key words as minimalist and cheerful in mind. At the top, luminous neroli notes with relaxing properties mingle with the freshness of pink berries and blackcurrant bud. At the heart, the fragrance develops around a bouquet composed of orange blossom and jasmine offering a dazzling femininity. Finally, white woods and vanilla leave a creamy and textured trail. The first impression brings great relaxation thanks to the injection of natural freshness of the soothing neroli, which enhances the vigour of the black currant bud and the effervescence of the pink berries, which are distinguished by their liveliness. In a second breath, the light explodes. A large bouquet of white flowers displays all its femininity: the radiance of an immaculate orange blossom and jasmine, combined with the velvety facet of a slightly balsamic orchid. Lastly, sandalwood and cedar woods warm the skin, with a subtle vanilla sensuality for maximum fullness.

Rochas Girl comes in an eco-conscious flacon: its clear design with a timeless style is a production feat, made as closely as possible: except for the stopper, which is obtained in Spain, the rest of the flacon is 100% made in France. The smooth and soft cap, made of partially recycled plastic, crowns a flacon made up of 40% PCR recycled glass from the collection of household glass containers, which reduces the carbon footprint by 9% and water consumption by 12% during production.

The flacon is decorated with an almond green lacquer (Nigermat) – a water-based lacquer that contains only 5% solvents. Its clean water-based lacquer and ink printing allow energy savings of 30% and 50% respectively.

This summer French Maison Rochas will launch Mademoiselle Rochas In Black, a new ‘rock and glamour’ version of Mademoiselle Rochas (2017) original. In addition to the original, the collection also includes versions of Mademoiselle Rochas Eau de Toilette (2018) and Mademoiselle Rochas Couture (2019).

After the original Mademoiselle Rochas Eau de Parfum presented in 2017, and the Eau de Toilette version from 2018, French Maison Rochas recently launched the third fragrance in the collection, Mademoiselle Rochas Couture.

Created by Anne Flipo, the composition of Mademoiselle Rochas Couture offers a romantic and chic mixture full of contrast. In the opening are the fruity notes of bergamot and sweet pear nectar, combined with pink pepper, which gives a daring character to the flowers. The sparkling and citrusy bouquet of orange blossoms and lily of the valley are embraced by the vanillic hug of heliotrope flowers. A warm and creamy finish of tonka bean, sandalwood and sensual musks leave a comfortable and subtle trail.

Federico Curradi Is Appointed Creative Director Of Rochas Men’s Fashion

There is a new man at the helm of menswear at French Maison Rochas. The menswear division of Rochas was non-existent for 22 years prior to Béatrice Ferrant’s appointment and his quick tenure delivered yet another setback to the brand in its pursuit of a successful menswear collection.

After relaunching the men’s ready-to-wear collections in 2017 under the aegis of Ferrant, Rochas’s owner Interparfums has picked a new designer to lead the second phase of the label’s new life. Italian Federico Curradi has in fact been appointed Creative Director of Rochas menswear, and his debut collection will be Autumn/Winter 2019-20.

It’s a real honour for me to accept the position as men’s creative director for Rochas. The Parisian legacy and the brand’s natural yet sophisticated style are key sources of inspiration for me, and I will undoubtedly reference them as I write a new page in the brand’s history.

Federico Curradi

Curradi will showcase his vision for Rochas at the Paris Fashion Week next January. Curradi, who was formerly head of men’s styling at Ermanno Scervino from 2001 to 2005, and later head of men’s collections at Roberto Cavalli (2005 – 2007). Then, for eight years, he was the Creative Director of Iceberg. In 2016, he relaunched his own label in January at Pitti Uomo, founded twenty years earlier while he worked as a knitwear consultant for Dunhill. The designer, who lives in the Florentine countryside, is also creative director of outerwear specialist Peuterey.

Federico Curradi’s mission at Rochas is clear: to re-energise menswear, which was put on hold at the end of 2017 after his predecessor managed it for only one season. In the meantime, Interparfums has opted for a new strategy. After trying its hand for the first time at developing a fashion collection internally, the fragrance group revealed that it had inked a license with the Italian subsidiary of Japan’s Onward Holding Co. Ltd, which already produces Rochas women’s ready-to-wear with creative director Alessandro Dell’Acqua, since 2013.

A must-have fragrance that is voluptuous and sensual, and whose spicy-fruity-chypre accord is the quintessence of feminine seduction.

This much-loved scent was created by Edmond Roudnitska in Paris during the War in 1943 for Marcel Rochas and gave it as a present to his wife Hélène in heartfelt tribute to femininity.

Femme represents a real masterpiece with its warmth of a woman’s gentle skin and dense note of plum. Its sensual and voluptuous spicy-fruity-chypre accord is the quintessence of feminine seduction.

Rochas had had it made originally for his demure wife Hélène, the legendary Madame Rochas, before Mae become the perfume’s face and derriere.

An ode to femininity and love, Femme is a fragrance of womanly seduction whose original spicy-fruity-chypre accord with its velvety plum – used in perfumery for the first time – awakens an intense sensuality.

The original composition is based on the harmony of aldehides, fruit, wood, and musk notes. The dryness of chypre notes is softened by the purple plum. The richness of tropical fruits is followed by the rich scent of sandal. Femme Rochas is a splendid perfume which is not aimed at every person, more at a femme fatale.

In 1989 Rochas  commissioned another perfumer to reorchestrate the classic – against the wishes of its creator – and thus vulgarized a work of art. The new Rochas Femme has become lighter and more gourmand thanks to the peach note in harmony with plum.
