Sarah Jessica Parker launches a new perfume for women Born Lovely the new flanker to the original Lovely perfume launched in 2005. Sarah Jessica Parker Born Lovely is described as a fruity/floral perfume with woody hints. The new Lovely perfume is all about a pleasant, fresh, light, and warm fragrance for daily use. Born lovely is described as a lively, radiant, fresh and charming scent of pastel freesia mixed with a sparkling black currant and an unexpected twist of spicy cedar wood. Inspired by the loveliness with wich women are born, the scent is said to be conjure up youthful elegance and contemporary femininity.

American actress Sarah Jessica Parker is renowend for her role as Carrie Bradshaw in the  hit television series and subsequent films ‘Sex in the City’. Parker’s own personal style, and the fashion-obsessed personality of the television character she portrayed, led to oppertunities to model for Gap, and to create a line of clothing for – now defund – retailer Steve & Berry’s. Also Coty offered the actress, a life-long perfume lover, the oppertunity to launch her own fragrance. The result of this collaboration was Lovely, launched in 2005. The succes of this first fragrance has led to continuing partnership, which has let to a collection of scents.

To be honest, I am not a Sarah Jessica Parker perfume fan, yet have to admit that (most of) her perfumes are designed with small attention to details, as well as exquisite notes and a deep inspiration. This autumn, ‘Sex in the City’ actress Sarah Jessica Parker launches a new perfume, Stash SJP Privé, inspired by the ballet legacy of the Bolshoi Theater when she has visited Moscow. Sarah Jessica Parker Stash SJP Privé is a woody/aromatic perfume designed to please women, yet more girlish in my opinion.

Sarah Jessica Parker launches new fragrance, Stash

There’s a new coveted scent now available on the beauty counter and if Sarah Jessica Parker’s previous perfumes are anything to go by, Stash is set to be a sell-out…

It’s been 11 years since Sarah Jessica Parker first launched Lovely, and today, the actress’ fourth perfume has been released on the market. Taking to Instagram to announce the news, Parker says: “One of the hardest secrets I’ve ever been asked to keep. A scent we’ve spent years perfecting. Passed among a select few like a verboten substance. Offered up only in secret but no longer. For all of those who’ve stopped me on the street, in the grocery store, on the subway, in the library, at the theater to ask me what fragrance I’m wearing, I can finally reveal the answer: Stash by SJP Beauty”.

Top notes: grapefruit, black pepper, sage
Heart: cedar, patchouli, ginger lily, pistachio
Base: olibanum, massoia, vetiver, musk

As inspiration for this fragrance, Sarah noted body odors, church, leather and a few masculine perfumes that she wore that would include notes of incense and vetiver. Stash SJP begins with notes of fresh grapefruit, black pepper and aromatic sage. Its heart notes include Atlas cedar, patchouli, ginger lily and pistachios, laid on the warm woody base of olibanum, massoia wood, vetiver and musk. The composition is developed in collaboration with perfumers from IFF.

Sarah Jessica Parker calls it the naughty, subversive sibling of her most popular fragrance Lovely.  Announced as sexy and raw, Stash SJP is an aromatic-woody composition suitable for both women and men.

The bottle is inspired by old pharmacy bottles, with rum colored liquid and black details.

Stash SJP is available as a 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum ($50, $75 and $85) and a mini rollerball and oil elixir for body and hair. It is launching at both http://www.sjpbeauty.com and Ulta, a US-based beauty chain.
