The iconic Flower By Kenzo celebrates its 20th anniversary!

A best-seller by Kenzo Parfums since its launch in 2000, Flower By Kenzo eau de parfum is celebrating its 20th anniversary. To mark the occasion, the fragrance is decked out in a new bottle and a floral print box in tribute to its Japanese roots. The iconic fragrance remains unchanged.

Every cult fragrance has a story, and that of Flower By Kenzo eau de parfum has for two decades been intimately linked to the evocative power of a flower, the poppy, the symbol of a fragrance that embodies softness, simplicity and joy. Flower By Kenzo was conceived as a fusion between nature and the city.

This message has been expressed since the launch in ad campaigns that poetically stage fields of poppies that bloom freely in the heart of the city, as well as delicate red petals floating down from the sky…. The spots have been joined by festive events across the globe, heralding the concept behind a fragrance that has won over the world. Between 2001 and 2009, 1,385,000 poppies were sown in Singapore, Milan, Vienna, Mexico City, Dubai, London, Moscow and Johannesburg.

The original Serge Mansau flacon design for Kenzo’s fragrance was described as “A poppy has come to the city and embraced it. Erect in its slender, see-through bottle, the poppy has curved the glass, the way flowers can. It blossoms out in three steps, 30, 50 and 100 ml, each corresponding to a stage of the flower’s unfolding”.

To mark its 20th anniversary, Flower By Kenzo pays tribute to its Japanese roots. The sensual fragrance created by master perfumer Alberto Morillas retains its original identity, a subtle harmony of Bourbon vanilla, white musks, pink pepper, Bulgarian rose and Parma violet, enveloped in an enchanting new collector’s edition flacon designed by glass architect Serge Mansau, who passed away in February 2019.

The new Flower By Kenzo is inspired by the traditional Japanese Seijin No Hi ceremony, which takes place on the second Monday of January each year. Young women of the archipelago wear kimonos embellished with flowers to celebrate turning 20 and becoming adults. For its 20th anniversary, the iconic Eau de Parfum also dons its most beautiful furisode, a kimono with very long sleeves. The intense red flacon is crossed by a blue line, joined by colorful, floral motifs.

Kenzo Flower 20th Anniversary Limited Editio is available as 50ml Eau de Parfum at selected stores worldwide. Come into the beautiful world of Kenzo.

Hermès collaborating with Wissam Shawkat for a new bespoke perfume

Hermès L’Ambre des Merveilles is a beautiful feminine perfume and was created by perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena, while the bottle was designed by Serge Mansau

With L’Elixir, I wanted a tantalizing, mouth-watering composition. With L’Eau Claire, I was looking for clarity, transparency and lightness. With Ambre, the woman becomes sensual and mysterious. For this new chapter, I wanted to relate one of the mysteries of amber, hovering between a delicious treat and sensuality, where vanilla meets the warmth of labdanum, and the moist quality of patchouli.

Reinventing its classic scent L’Ambre des Merveilles, Hermès has unveiled its new fragrance for the GCC, partners with Wissam Shawkat and his incredible calligraphy skills.

Available from September 15, exclusively in all Hermès boutiques around the GCC, the famed French Maison teamed up with Wissam Shawkat to create a unique Arabic type for the special edition L’Ambre des Merveilles bottle.

The story of L’Eau des Merveilles is a poetic tale inspired by the way the house of Hermès looks at the world, as Jean-Claude Ellena, the in-House perfumer of Hermès, created a magical scent developed from the original woody, amber theme.

Perfume has been a part of the brand’s history since the 1930s. In the library of Maison Hermès perfumes, every creation tells a story, opens up an imaginary world. Hermès demonstrates through its perfumes the excellence of its craftsmanship, its artistry, and its creative freedom.

Luxurious! Now Maison Hermès launched Eau Claire des Merveilles as a fresh and lively perfume that resembles the magic water. Hermès Eau Claire des Merveilles is a very delightful and pleasant fragrance for modern women. Eau Claire des Merveilles was created by famous perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena and he described this scent as soft, delicate, pure and sensual.

Top: Citrus, Aldehydes
Heart: Floral notes, Spices
Bottom: Vanilla, Powder, Driftwood

Created by Jean-Claude Ellena, Hermès Eau Claire des Merveilles blends an incandescent variety of soft vanilla, warm amber and exotic woods. Perfume also features flowery notes, airy notes and powdery notes. Exotic and fresh may be a contradiction, but not in the case of this perfume. It has woody and warm amber notes mixed with such notes as powder, soft vanilla, airy notes, as well as a veil of floral notes. You put it on and you immediately tell yourself: ‘Today will be all good’.
