MAC Cosmetics x Giambattista Valli Lipstick Collection

I love sharing news of fab new MAC Cosmetics partnerships and product launches and I’m totes excited to give you the tea on the brand’s latest drool-worthy collaboration with the luxurious Italian fashion designer Giambattista Valli!

MAC is always pushing the envelope when it comes to really giving us something to look forward to with their fashion-forward product lines, and they are giving us all kinds of aesthetic goodness with five new matte shades.

I started working with MAC almost 10 years ago and since the beginning they understood and supported my vision as a designer. To celebrate this long standing relationship we thought it would be great to create a collection that was one-of-a-kind, more of a collector’s edition! I’m known for my dresses and with this collection you can dress your lips in Giambattista Valli.

The colors range from soft pink to a deep cherry shade and I need every one of them in my life!

 

MAC Cosmetics x Giambattista Valli Bianca B is a pale white-pink matte shade.

 

MAC Cosmetics x Giambattista Valli Tats is a bright hot pink matte shade.

 

MAC Cosmetics x Giambattista Valli Margherita is a yellow bright peach matte shade.

 

MAC Cosmetics x Giambattista Valli Charlotte is a rich, yellow-red matte shade.

 

MAC Cosmetics x Giambattista Valli Eugenie is a dark cherry with blue undertones matte shade.

For those of you who prefer a pop of glossy sass on your lips, the Giambattista Valli lipstick collection also includes Crystal Glaze Gloss, which is a LENA clear shade with subtle, multi-coloured pearl. ($23.00 US / $27.50 CAD). You can also use the gloss on your eyelids for high-fashion runway-ready look!

Dior Tie Dye Collection for Summer 2015

This summer is going to be much more beautiful with Dior!

Yesterday, you can read the review of the Chanel summer collection, today it is time for those of Dior called ‘Tie Dye!’. The ‘Tie Dye’ concept was already seen in the fashion collections of Christian Dior, but it is now also translated to make up.

Think of beautiful summer colors that blend together, replace and transform. I am very happy, and I’m incredibly curious what you find about the collection! Today I review the backstage Pro palette, a turquoise Khol, a bright pink Fluid Stick and a whole summer in Sunwashed Salin.

Christian Dior has the Dior Addict Fluid Sticks in their range for a while, but I had not yet tried them myself (I’m sorry!), I was so very curious if this liquid lipsticks where more a gloss, or would tend more to a lipstick. I used the Plaisir (779), which is a flamboyant fuchsia color. A perfect color for the summer and matches nicely in combination with the neutral eye look which I have made earlier with the Eye Reviver palette. The pigmentation is incredibly good and certainly like a lipstick, while the shiny texture is similar to a lip gloss. A thin layer is really more than enough.

Most of you know that I am quite a fan of the eye shadow sticks/khols. It is the ideal product to apply your eye shadow in an easy way. You just need one layer, a little mascara, and you are ready to go! Pearly Turquoise is a deep blue color with a metallic finish. The structure is really perfect: not too creamy, but not too dry.

• Sundown (464) This is a hibiscus red crème shade (my favorite!)

For summer, Christian Dior presents three stylish, candy hues that are completely wearable to create a refined yet stylish manicure. The Dior Tye Dye Summer 2015 collection also includes a new top coat (limited edition!) that can be worn over other lacquers to create a cool ombre nail art effect.

This is a top coat that transforms each colour into an ombre effect. Buy some extra bottles!! Great to see what you can do with one little bottle!! Try it on all your nailpolish!!

Chanel’s Riviera Summer

This year, for its beauty and make-up summer line, Chanel took inspiration from one of Gabrielle Chanel’s favorite destinations (and also one of mine’s): the French Riviera

On the other hand, the Stylo Yeux Waterproof Orchidée is an intense violet liner which provides precision in application and long-lasting radiant color. Elegance and carefreeness are the essence of beauty according to Chanel. They inspired the season’s favorite accessory: for an expression Made in Riviera.

Finally, for the nails, Chanel provides colorful hues that are reminiscent of the riviera, including chocolate brown, deep ocean blue, vermilion red, and vivid violet.

Nars x Christopher Kane limited edition make-up collection

Founded in 1994 by makeup artist and photographer François Nars, French NARS and Scotisch fashion designer Christopher Kane have teamed up to bring you a limited edition capsule collection that is unexpectedly bold, but surprisingly natural. We are huge beauty junkies here at Yakymour, and NARS  has always been a personal favorite of ours. This collection in particular has got us exited because we love the vivid pigments and colors but they are subtle enough for everyday wear.

Here’s what you need to know. The ten piece limited edition line, called Neonnatural (get it. Neon and Natural) is made up of blushes, illuminating multiple sticks (which means they add color to your eyes, cheeks and lips), lip glosses and eyeshadows in unexpectedly bold, neon shades – Christopher Kane’s signature – and nude tones that complement then. Our personal favoritess are the Violet Atom Iiluminating Multiple wich is totally wearable for every day and the Glow Pink Lip Gloss wich has a very sophisticated shine). We also  adore the unusual eye shadow duos with the most unexpected pairings. The palette is so neutral it works with everything from pastels to your little black dress to marsala, the pantone color of the year.
