From November 27 to December 6, a major digital auction is being held to collect funds in order to develop new projects to encourage people to take concrete action for the Earth and its inhabitants. Among other exceptional prizes, Maison Christian Dior is offering a chance to take a private tour of the Château de La Colle Noire, Christian Dior’s favorite home in the South of France.
Provence and the Grasse area are closely tied to the history of Dior. It was there that Christian Dior chose to have his holiday home: the Château de la Colle Noire. Christian Dior’s acquisition of the Château de La Colle Noire was the culmination of his deep fondness for the Provençal south and his dream to be a perfumer. This property was his peaceful haven: he decorated each room, designed the garden and oversaw the refurbishment. Surrounded by a chorus of crickets and white trails of jasmine, he took off his couturier’s hat and began developing his passion for exceptional flowers.
